In "what_is_symfony/in_five_minutes/six_technical_reasons.html.twig" the last paragraph:
{% block summary %}
You can’t go wrong by choosing Symfony! And no one has ever been fired for using Symfony.
is the same that the last one in six_good_reasons.html.twig and ten_criteria.html.twig?
During reviewing and merging the german translations I have seen that the used template variable current_version
in views/en/get_started/components.html.twig is not filled correctly.
As result invalid installation commands are rendered to the user on the symfony page.
Was a regression introduced somewhen or should the translators use another approach for the installation introductions?
The menu items that were previously arranged under http://symfony.com/about have been moved to other top navigation items. However, clicking on one of them in the new menu structure still triggers the "about menu".
For example, the "Roadmap" item can now be found under "What is Symfony" while http://symfony.com/roadmap then enables the old navigation.

My Indonesian translation request already accepted,
Then, how do I add new content for ID ?
I tried to find where I could submit a pull request for the sidebar, but alas I did not find it.
The sidebar link for "IRC Channel" url points to irc-channel instead of irc
When you view http://symfony.com/what-is-symfony in any other language than English, you'll see that there are some parts that are not translated:
hi
when is planning to be ready the marketplace?
Does this allow us developer to sold boundles? How it work?
http://symfony.com/marketplace
Thanks!!
I am not completely sure if this is a mistake or was made on purpose:
There are two paragraphs originally placed about "permanence" one the six_good_reasons page which are doubled on the six_technical_reasons one in the flexibility chapter.
Can you provide me please some short feedback if this is OK or not?
Thanks!
the left menu of the community section contains Mailing lists
and Forum
, which are both closed now.
And the Provide support
link on http://symfony.com/community points to http://symfony.com/mailing-lists which is an empty page
Our primary support channel is now SO, but I cannot find anywhere on the website showing it.
This website is a great source of arguments to choose Symfony2 as a PHP framework.
I think it could be great to add a part to compare it with Ruby and Python frameworks.
As a web developers, it's some times hard to sell PHP.
This would help a lot.
Site http://symfony.com/legacy is using previous template.
when i fire $ git push command on git bash it is giving me error like

$ git push

The Get Started section on the Symfony web site looks a bit weird for two reasons:
The Symfony Distributions and symfony1 Legacy items use the old layout:
The Get Started item in the horizontal navigation is not highlighted when accessing the Download Symfony or the Symfony Components section.
The homepage for projects is translated in Slovenian and German. However, the links to the different projects only link to the English version of the project description. You even cannot enter them by typing the URL manually (for example, I would have expected http://symfony.com/sl/projects/pagekit and http://symfony.com/de/projects/pagekit to work).
freepost is listed under Projects using Symfony as using the Symfony full stack, but looking at the source code it doesn't look like it does.
Actually, after a quick look at the code, it looks like that project is using only Twig.
Hi,
I don't know why but the description of BackBee CMS doe's not appears on the website (http://symfony.com/projects/backbee)
This is the related configuration:
name: BackBee
url: http://www.backbee.com/
dependencies: [ Twig, doctrine ]
components:
- Config
- Console
- Debug
- DependencyInjection
- EventDispatcher
- Expression Language
- Filesystem
- HttpFoundation
- HttpKernel
- Routing
- Security
- Serializer
- Translation
- Validator
- Yaml
If I select any translation, all menus are still in English. Although in the translations
directory are necessary files.
Hi,
Packt is proud to publish a new book on Symfony.
Mastering Symfony
We would appreciate if you could create a Resources or Books page to feature this book on symfony.com. I think it will help many developers in their learning.
Let me know if something like this can be done.
Thanks in advance.

It seems that the second link redirect to the first link.
The "Contribute docs" link under the _Documentations & Support_ section on http://symfony.com/community is incorrect. It leads to Page not found page.
I would like to fix this if I know the URL the link should use.
Can't find this file in the repository, but it's showing up here http://symfony.com/what-is-symfony:

Go to page http://symfony.com/contributors/code (http://symfony.com/contributors/doc) and scroll down to users with position number 100 and lower. Some of these records leads to https://connect.sensiolabs.com. All links for these users are broken and leads us to login page of https://connect.sensiolabs.com. For top 99 users everything is ok.
The Distributions page (http://symfony.com/distributions) is still using the old style, particularly noticable with the navbar.
Also, the Symfony CMF link is bad. It points to https://cmf.symfony.com/ but the correct URL should be http://cmf.symfony.com/. Note the http instead of https.
When visiting http://symfony.com/blog, you will get redirected to http://symfony.com/blog/. But if you visit http://symfony.com/planet/ it will 404. http://symfony.com/planet does work however, so my guess is that the route configuration is simply missing a trailing slash at the end so both would work.
I haven't tested other pages but my assumption is that it would be nice to have all routes work the same.
The list of ways to connect to the community IRC are not very user friendly. Not all developers (especially new ones) have used this technology.
It would be nice if you linked directly to the freenode web client,
Instead of asking users to install software on their machine, which they might not even be able to do depending on their situation.
So I was trying to create an Entity called User , and one called Vendor with a many to many relationship symbolized by an associated entity I called UserVendorAssoc. I constantly got :
PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class
Which stumped me for an hour till I realised that its parsing the entities alphabetically , and renaming the association entity to assocUserVendor fixed it . Can you modify your Entity parsing to avoid this in future.
The linked URL for the Guard component is https://github.com/symfony/guard while it should be https://github.com/symfony/security-guard. Maybe the code URLs are generated based on the components' names.
The diagrams on http://symfony.com/stats/code are missing. The DOM only contains empty svg
elements.

The planet seems to be down since October 31: http://symfony.com/planet
Sorry if this is not the good place to report this problem.
I hope this is the correct place for my issue.
I just clicked through the updated pages on symfony.com and I searched for references to the GitHub Repository and found almost nothing (besides the contribution page. Even the footer contains no link to GitHub.
In some places the text assumes that everybody knows that the source code is hosted on GitHub. Sure, no problem for the most developers! Everybody of us knows where the source code is located. But what about beginners/starters? They are going to symfony.com, download the source code, browse the documentation, but they might not recognize that the code is provided on GitHub. Google lists the repository on the 5th place hitting the search for "symfony" so it's not that difficult to get this information.
But why this information is not more explicitly mentioned on the page (like it is done on other product/framework homepages)?
Maybe I am completely blind and overlooked the link somewhere but at the time of writing I have not recognized an according link.
The download command shown on the new Symfony.com's download page looks like $ composer create-project symfony/framework-standard-edition path/ 2.5.*
. The copy/paste feature doesn't work for users having a zsh interpreter. To fix that, we have to surround 2.5.* by double-quotes.
Same problem for component's download link below composer require symfony/config 2.5.*
. It should be composer require symfony/config "2.5.*"
.
Even worse, the combo box generates wrong component names (symfony/httpfoundation
instead of symfony/http-foundation
, etc.).
Steps to reproduce:
The translation "Get in touch with the community" (red arrow) should come from here:
https://github.com/symfony/symfony-marketing/blob/master/views/en/community/get_in_touch.html.twig#L3
and should be overwritten by the german (or any other) language here:
https://github.com/symfony/symfony-marketing/blob/master/views/de/community/get_in_touch.html.twig#L3
The other parts (green arrows) come from this file.
Best regards Oskar
The websites has an article about the weekly IRC meeting event. But that event is dead for a really long period now, what about removing it?
This is a very minor problem:
The header description on the at a glance page was doubled at the why use a framework page where it does not really fit to the page content.
{% block description 'What is Symfony - Start here if you want a brief explanation' %}
The distributions page (http://symfony.com/distributions) does not show the correct title, although it is correctly defined in https://github.com/symfony/symfony-marketing/blob/master/views/en/get_started/distributions.html.twig.
The response shows <title> - Symfony</title>
, instead of what I guess should be <title>Symfony Distributions</title>
On page http://symfony.com/what-is-symfony there are 2 broken links:
The target page gives a 404.
When http://symfony.com/ link is shared on Facebook or Google Plus it shows too large Symfony logo from the meta tag:
<meta property="og:image" content="https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1/224363_211720515516357_4598012_n.jpg">
Might be good to check out the correct proportions of the Symfony logo image and also use this tool:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
And follow the image size proportions described here:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices#images
Best image proportions are somehow 1200px x 630px.
Thank you.
Looks like on the mailing list page image links are broken.
The support page should also mention the Slack channel. Maybe event replace IRC?
Here is the link to the slack invite: https://slackinvite.me/to/symfony-devs
