The OSX instance on Travis is unable to find the beta toolchain and beta has thus been moved to the 'allowed failures' section. This isn't an issue with the code it seems, and appears to be an issue with either the travis configuration or travis itself.

All code still functions as normal and tests are passing.

So since this was adapted from java, (pretty much with no consideration to idiomatic rust) the code is not of the best quality. I personally want to have the code be readable to some extent, add some abstractions over common data types, and make life generally easier for maintainers (read: me).
