This exercise was supposed to result in an out of memory error due to a low memory limit being set by default. The learner is then supposed to identify this and increase the memory limit until its sufficient. However slurm doesn't kill the job when it exceeds its limit. Could be it doesn't exceed for long enough?

At some point an upgrade in the RHEL7 environment on Sunbird has meant that python3 with no modules loaded does work. So we probably want to either switch to a different example (e.g. R) or change the reasoning given for modules.

The challenge in the "Logging in to Supercomputing Wales" episode is to do what the instructor has just done. If learners are following along (as we encourage them to do), then they will already have done this, making the majority of the exercise null. On the other hand if you split things so that you demo first, then the learners try, then you have to repeat the explanation so users can follow along step-by-step, since there are so many points where things can go wrong.

When I've taught this I've gone with the former approach (stopping regularly to check users were keeping up, and making sure that users ask immediately in case of authentication failure), and suggested just checking sinfo --long as the challenge, but that is a little short and uninteresting.

I'd suggest expanding the "Logging In" section to include:

• resetting SCW password
• checking username
• stopping in case of authentication failure to ask an instructor
• a callout about fail2ban

Then remove the duplicated material from the challenge, and instead check some other easy things - maybe pwd and hostname.

An explanation of the put/get/lcd/!ls commands is needed in the SFTP command line section of "Copying data using the command line".

the time limit of 70 seconds often isn't exceeded, thus failing to demonstrate what happens when the time limit is exceeded. Try increasing it to 90 seconds.

Sections 8,9 and 10 need updating to Python 3.7.0. A few incompatibilities exist and solutions need to be found for these.
