I am trying to make a python 3.6, PytQt5 port because pyside QtWebkit has been deprecated on Arch Linux. I have run into a problem I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
I have managed to get the process manager to sync with the blockchain but I can not get past this point.
It seems to be a problem with the sockets or with the IGD port mapping.

Hi, I am following the instructions and I am in the step 3. I downloaded the binaries from
I then unpacked the file, created a "bin" folder inside the Resources folder in the SumoGUIWallet directory and placed the binary files there:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 8957304 Dec 1 04:40 sumo-blockchain-export
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 8996184 Dec 1 04:37 sumo-blockchain-import
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 14976456 Dec 1 04:46 sumokoind
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 6813568 Dec 1 04:38 sumo-utils-deserialize
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 11037232 Dec 1 04:46 sumo-wallet-cli
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 11584312 Dec 1 04:43 sumo-wallet-rpc
Am I suppose to compile all this binaries? Just the one that says "sumo-wallet-cli"? Appreciate your help on this. Thanks!

Hello,
I am running Win 7 - x64 and I experienced that sumokoind.exe will hang during
synch when I have enabled the "Lock pages in memory" option in Group Policy editor.
Also referred to as large pages.
It starts the synch process and will just hang at a certain point. It's completely stuck and even can't be
ended with Taskkill or PSKill, even Windows can't shut down while it is stalled.
Disabling "Lock pages in memory" makes it work again.
However, that large pages are a prerequsite for proper mining (XMR-STAK-CPU/XMRig) and
switching back and forth is somewhat annoying.
Also this might prevent other potential Sumokoin miners/users from accepting the client, as I assume most have enabled large pages.
Maybe you can have a look at it if you find some time.
Thanks!
Attached a snippet from the log file. The last line is were it stops/hangs.
In the Send tab, if we select all coins, sending will fail since it doesn't accomodate fees. Please make it to calculate and incorporate fee amount before sending, so people can make more informed decision before sending money from their wallet.
Thanks.
Hi @sumoprojects
I created a wallet with SumoGUIWallet using the v0.0.1-b1.1. Now, when I start using the new Wallet-v0.0.1-b2, it remains "Waiting for network synchronization" but at the bottom of the screen I can read the following message in red "Network: Disconnected 0/68081 (0%)". What can I do to synchronize the wallet?
I am using mac OSX Sierra

Sumo GUI window/frame doesn't scale on a 1024 x 600 screen. A little portion at the bottom (progress bar) gets cut off and there is no window resizing or vertical scrolling feature. It doesn't have a "maximize/restore" option either. Perhaps this is something that can easily be fixed in the next release. Monero GUI had the same issue but has since been fixed (now able to scroll).
Sumokoin_Wallet-v0.0.2-Linux-x64.tar.gz should be a tar.bz2
As it stands, people are going to be trying to gunzip it and getting errors.
web site for windows 64-bit is giving me CLI binaries.
Do you think GUI wallet should be default download?

How could I overcome this and run the wallet?
It would be nice to have the option to not minimize the wallet to the tray when hitting the close button. I have poor internet connection so I don't leave the wallet open, and it a very slight annoyance to have to hit close, then right click on the tray, and hit exit.
I repeat, this is a very minor issue, and only if it is easy to implement in a non-cluttering way would I suggest it happen.
Thanks for all the work, devs.
Two different pools have sent coins. FairPool sent multiple coins.
Daemon and wallet opened, refreshed and finished synchronizing.
Refresh and Rescan_bc did not fix it. "Show_Transactions all " produced nothing.
Amounts of .5 and .1 coins sent over fifty blocks ago. Can see the transaction hash for the first one around block 90??? (can not remember off the top of my head, it was two days ago) Current block is 91458 so the transaction has been recorded, is visible and should have been processed even on a slow day.
Running Sumokoin 'Sapporo' (v0.2.0.0-release) Logging at default level 0 only shows known errors like "Daemon not responding" due to leaving the wallet open over night.
OS - Windows 10 Pro. All updates applied. Drivers up to date.
Hardware - Intel NUC I6770 with 8 Gb memory.
User: PC savvy and hoping the coins show up now that I have asked for help :)
Hi
Just wondering if you guys could be convinced to change your version numbering to use Semantic Versioning?
Kind regards
GUI wallet v.0.0.3 does not display in TX History multiple transactions included in the same block. For example, I had two different pools at the same time 2 payments for the transaction fell into the block 116874.

In GUI wallet I see only one of 2 transactions, why is it a bug? I installed the same wallet on my second computer, synced it and got the same thing. Two transactions of the same block at the same time does not show. This is a problem. :(

Hello.
On 4k resolution (MacOS) the GUI wallet looks like pile of pixels.
Do you have plans to optimize it?
Thanks.
An option to include blockchain.raw to sync blockchain offline would be great help.
Passwort creation does not accept underscore "_" under Win10

I did check that it can be used for opening when created with normal wallet/deamon .
Sorry for not checking the code, failry new to python (christmas time), just startet with a random password generator check ,with up to 32 digits, where that one poped up after not even 100 tries.
Hey I forked your awesome wallet for Electroneum!
You might be interessed in my sweep_all implementation. If I understand it correctly the button for "all coins" in a transfer will always fail, because of the missing transaction fees. So I decide using the sweep_all method if the transfered balance equals the unlocked balance. The user needs to confirm that he wants to transfer all the money at the time the tranaction is made. If your interested I can make a pull-request.
The main commit: XzenTorXz/ElectroneumGUIWallet@c1a6a58 (theres still an debug alert and the final tranaction message throws an error, those are fixed in alter commits)
Hello,
When running wallet version v0.4.0 on linux after launching the application for the first time if you close it and then reopen the wallet it stays on the loading wallet screen and on the terminal output it states
[ERROR] create_address() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given) Traceback (most recent call last): File "webui/__init__.py", line 477, in update_wallet_info TypeError: create_address() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given)
this causes it to stay stuck on the wallet loading screen permanantly until you close it.
Thanks,
@swanserquack
When setting up a new wallet, if a period (.) is in the password, it won't let you continue and acts as if it is a space.

Been using this with command "python wallet.py" and was wondering how to compile this into an .app on Mac ?
I tried running py2app but doesn't work or i do not have the right setup.py
Is it possible to allow also remote daemon (similar to Monero GUI wallet)? I see that right now "localhost" is hard-coded into the code. At least as an hidden option in json config file (if not directly selectable via GUI).

any guidance for this failure?
Hello, I created a wallet with SumoGUIWallet without problems. Now, when I start the GUIWallet, it remains "Waiting for network synchronization" but at the bottom of the screen I can read the following message in red "Network: Disconnected 0/47476 (0%)". What can I do to synchronize the wallet?
Regards!
When a wallet is generated the current block height, or at least a number close to it could be stored then represented in the mnemonic seed to make re-importing it much faster. This number would be rounded to a certain number instead of an actual fixed numeric block in the past to avoid several problems and would not preclude a client from eventually syncing the entire block chain.
This obviously makes a lot of assumptions, first that the instance of sumokoind used by the client is not also acting in some way as a full node for others, at least not initially, as well that the idea is to get people who are restoring a wallet to be able to use their wallet as soon as possible.
There are a lot of concerns here as well with timing attacks.
In any case I thought I'd float the idea here, at least to see how terrible it is and why.
