Textfield becomes uneditable about paymentkit HOT 4 CLOSED

After you press backspace cardNumberField gets focus, and there are 16 digits (which is valid). However, when you type an additional character, there are 17 digits and [PKCardNumber isPartiallyValid] will return NO, which short circuits the logic in cardNumberFieldShouldChangeCharactersInRange, and cardExpiryField won't get focus. The result is that you're stuck in an un-editable state.

As a short term fix you can replace cardNumberFieldShouldChangeCharactersInRange with the following: https://gist.github.com/cte/7bf510c5a03ff9797766 (although I expect the official fix to be more elegant).

Hey all,
As part of a large refactor, this code has moved to https://github.com/stripe/stripe-ios, which now has a class called STPPaymentCardTextField with similar behavior to PTKView. I took care to make sure STPPaymentCardTextField doesn't suffer from the issue you're describing, so I'd encourage you to migrate (it should take just a few minutes, and we've written a brief guide at https://github.com/stripe/paymentkit#migration). Of course, if that doesn't work for you, or you have any trouble migrating, reply here and I'll be happy to help.
