I have added Chinese translation for some time. When can you add it to the application? In addition, when I open the video introduction page, sometimes the video introduction will be displayed in Chinese, but when I go back and open it again, it will become English. I noticed that when try to translate certain words, like "new" and "featured," they don't seem to have direct translations in some languages.

Is it not possible to test the new added stings in program? They dont seem to load?

I see that many string keys string keys are multiple times in Caps, nocaps and ALLCAPS forms when string translation is the same. Is that necessary?
Because maintenance is more easy if the same translation string is only in one string key, use only one version could be a good option.

There are some parts of the UI that are not translated to my language, but they seem to be missing in this repository.

A few examples are:

• Content & Artists (right under the Discover button in the sidebar)
• Your favorites (right under the Library button in the sidebar)

Does this mean these texts can't be translated?

In English, "cast", as a noun, is often used to mean the most important actors of the production. But "cast", as a verb, has the modern meaning of sending the media through the network towards a media player (e.g Chromecast, Smart TV, etc).
Searching the en_US.json I can find strings for "Cast" as a noun (strings 66, 85) but no "Cast" as a verb meaning to cast to a device.

The problem is that I thing these strings (66 and 85) are being used in the internal player screen (bottom left) to activate the casting function on the Android app.

In English, there's no problem as Cast (noun) and Cast (as verb) are the same word. But the translations are bringing the wrong thing to be presented. For English speakers, imagine that, in order to push the video to a Chromecast, you need to press the "Actors" button. That's whats happening (checked this in pt_BR).

So, maybe we need to make a new English string with the word "Cast" alone, meaning the verb and not the noun, to be shown in the internal player screen instead of the noun string.

Dutch subtitles are not loading automatically when starting a movie/show.

I was trying to make some translation into my language (Burmese) and I noticed the language code for Malay has been named as my-BM.json.

Malay language should be named ms as the language code for my stands for Burmese according to IETF Language Tag.

Greek translation is not working in android app.

Hello everyone, we are soon adding a taste selector in Stremio's intro dialog. Once we roll it out, it would appear for everyone

Any ideas for what words should we use? Obviously: movies, series, TV, Channels ; the genres themselves ; sports, gaming and anime probably should be separate

The Hebrew-translated interface isn't working on Android TV, but it does work on Android phones.
Is it required to rebuild and deploy the Android TV app?

ERR_CASTING_UPDATE_TITLE - should be something like "Could not update casting device info: streaming server might be offline"

The Chinese translation on the mobile version is not available, and the Chinese translation on the PC version also needs to be updated.

Guess this has been fixed by adding a new string but can the old one with bad spelling be deleted?

These strings will need to be changed in ALL translation files and will probably need to be changed in the code unless they're mentioned correctly in there, in which case these strings are useless in their current form and they constitute a bug.

In the player settings in the desktop app, I've noticed that the strings relative to "Subtitles", "Audio", "Controls", "Auto-Play" and "Advanced" aren't translated although it is in the translation files in GitHub.

I've made Greek translation some months ago but never added to the app.

Why aren't there empty lines like in the en-us.json? Or should I ask why are there blank lines in en-us?

On line 56 of the file [es-ES.json], when translating the word "CAST" into Spanish, the current rendering is "reparto." However, I suggest correcting this translation as "reparto" is not the most accurate term in this context.

I propose changing the translation of "CAST" to one of the following options, depending on the specific context:

"transmisión"
"emisión"

These options more precisely capture the meaning of "CAST" in this particular context. I would appreciate it if this correction could be made in the next update.

The term "Watched" translates to "VISTO" in Spanish.

"VIENDO" corresponds to "Watching," and the tag is used for indicating the episodes you are currently watching.

I translated the string of the line 1002 from the pt-PT as "Os meus / As minhas" because the correct translation in the case of the movies is "Os meus filmes" and in the case of the series is "As minhas séries" due to the fact that the "movies" word is masculine and the "series" word is feminine in the Portuguese language. I found where this string is located, as you can see in the image attached, so I want to ask if is possible to separate the string, one for the movies and another to the series in a way for it to be more accurate in the Portuguese translation and probably in other languages that have the same issue.

There's a problem in the popup where you can download stream info. The Catalan translation (and probably other languages too) is slightly longer than the English version, so the phrase is cut and doesn't look good (image attached). This issue should be reported in the main repo (make the width of the popup dynamic to fit the texts) but I'm not sure which one is.

The Android app has only one Portuguese option from the languages list to choose, as "português", being this one Brazilian Portuguese. Since Stremio has both Portuguese (Portugal) and Portuguese (Brazil), why there's only one option to choose (Brazilian Portuguese) to the Android app? Can you fix this?

Hi,

Not sure if I should report this issue here or to Strem.io directly.
I'm facing problems while streaming any strem.io content to my LG smart TV, when subtitles are in Portuguese (pt-PT). I think the problem is with the latin characters.

Maybe I can upload a photo or if more info is needed please let me know.

For the FB login, there's the option between "nothing is posted without your permission" vs "we won't post without asking" (or possibly something else)

The truth is, we never post anything, so there isn't the need of ever asking permission. we simply don't post. So the string has to reflect that. Therefore the first seems better
