Usage

First Install Yarn

$ git clone https://[email protected]/arkaofficial/reactor.git
$ cd reactor
$ yarn
$ yarn start         ## visit http://localhost:8000

Upgrade yarn command

yarn global add npm-check-updates
ncu --upgrade --upgradeAll && yarn upgrade

NOTE: Set babel-eslint version to 8.2.6 in package.json once you run npm updates."babel-eslint": "^8.2.6",

#Eslint-Setup

Before start development please do install Eslint, no one like dirty codes.

Step 1

yarn add --save-dev eslint eslint-config-airbnb eslint-plugin-import eslint-plugin-react eslint-plugin-jsx-a11y babel-eslint

(Backup your eslintrc file in case you want to examine it.)

Step 2

eslint --init

    1. Select 'Use a popular style guide'
    1. Select Airbnb
    1. Select your options, pick JSON type (.eslintrc is the old filename based on my - research, but it's the same thing)
    1. Allow it to update newer versions and/or install packages if it asks

Step 3

  • Restart your editors

Step 4

Paste this into your .eslintrc.json : and remove my comments which will cause the JSON to blow up. (PS: writing rules for ESlint)

Step 5

  • yarn add eslint-plugin-compat --save-dev
  • restart server yarn start
  • restart your editor too

Extra

  • Remove transform-decorators-legacy from .webpackrc.js to solve this issue Module build failed: TypeError: Property right of AssignmentExpression expected node to be of a type ["Expression"] but instead got null at Array.map if you get from latest babel update.

Build & deploy

  • Run yarn build for production build. It will generate /dist folder which is production build.
  • Create an Express JS server to serve your production build touch server.js.
  • In server.js, copy/paste the following code:
    const express = require('express');
    const path = require('path');

    const port = process.env.PORT || 8080;
    const app = express();

    app.use(express.static(path.join(__dirname, '/dist')));

    app.get('/*', function (req, res) {
      res.sendFile(path.join(__dirname, '/dist', 'index.html'));
    });

    app.listen(port);
  • In your package.json file, change the start script to the following: to start: "node server.js".
  • Remove "start": "cross-env ESLINT=none roadhog dev" & "precommit": "npm run lint-staged" (only for production push add it back for development).
  • Open .gitignore file add following code:
    #.gitignore
    src/*
    public/*

and remove /dist(only for production push add it back for development). This will only push production build to server rather than all files.
