The .repeat () function does not restart the timer, but only sets the flag that it is not isExpired. And if the timer, for example, out of 30 seconds has passed 29, then after .repeat () the timer will become isExpired in 1 second.

I'll probably do this myself, but thought I'd post the suggestion. It'd be nice if the ifExpired function returns FALSE if the object is not yet started or has been reset. The application for this would be single shot operations instead of repeat operations. The use would be to include the call to reset the object (using a reset() or stop() function) in the call to ifExpired.

How do I stop a timer?

For example, to flash an LED with a 5-second on then a one-second off period:

My flow is to start the ON timer.
Turn on the LED
When the ON timer expires,
Turn off the LED
STOP the ON timer
Start the OFF timer
When the OFF timer expires,
Turn ON the LED
STOP the OFF timer
Start the ON timer

repeat

Is there no way to stop the timers? One-shot as requested a year ago.
