i was going throughout my GitHub account, once I have not specifically been doing a lot of open source development with GitHub. I did plenty of contributions of sound design to an indie game called 0 A.D. during January, but then somewhat shifted my focus a little bit. I added the source of two GitHub repositories, I usually use a lot within my creative workflow, namely youtube-dl and ffmpeg. one is written in c, the other one is written in python. my suggestion we combine this c and python code into a single c max object, and then we create a version of an object in max, that, whenever receiving a message, with a specific url, downloads that video, turns it into a small clip, and then adds it to jit.qt.movie. the other option, once ffmpeg also encodes audio, would be allowing to suddenly download a video file, converting to audio, and populating into an audio buffer. this way you can use for instance beap granulator to receive the input audio material of a download audio file, and jit.qt.movie to receive the video, or another video, and making some twisted manipulations. this would be cool. another thing that would be cool, within a sense would be downloading multiple files, and turning them into single longer files, or going throughout related searches. anyways, we have a good starting point here. let's start making something cool. cheers. xx.
