sudo ee site edit spiritedmedia.dev

    location ~* \.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png) {
      try_files $uri/ /image-proxy.php$is_args$args;
    }

Save the file which should automatically reload nginx for you. If you previously loaded the conf file in /var/www/spiritedmedia.dev/conf/nginx/ you will want to remove it.
