Following the given installation I'm unable to install and appreciate every help.

installing on a raspberry pi 4 with Raspbian Buster Lite and xfce4
in Debian branch
dpkg-buildpackage -b -uc -us
gives the following error of dpkg-source --before-build:
Unmet build dependencies: libexadrums-dev

ignoring this dependency by using the -d flag leads to an error:

configure:3574:error: Package requirement (exadrums) were not met:
No package 'exadrums' found

...
dpkg-buildpackage. error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2

Hi,

Do this library supports multi-layers instruments : it allows to set a different file depending of the intensity of the triggered event. This makes playing more natural.

Even more, there is the "round robin" feature, which allows to set multiple sounds for the same layer: this allows to play a different sound each time the pad is stroke with the same intensity, and so the sound doesn't seems to come from an edrum.
Many high-end drumkits has this features...

I started a software like yours a few years ago and did not finished it : https://github.com/LemarinelNet/piDrummer
It implements those features, and have some advantages : requires SDL, so no need for a X server (just a framebuffer), so more resources available for the drum software, but no touch screen (drived by a rotary knob + push buttons...)
Perhaps we could merge our projects ?

I'm about to buy a DDrum DDTI module, which is a drum trigger and sends midi notes to a computer.
I goal was to make something that runs headless, so eXaDrums is a good candidate.

Do you plan to implement MIDI input ?
If not, I think I could help in doing so ?
