rladies-xaringan-template's Issues

custom title-slide class not showing author

Hi Siliva! I modified my yaml title, subtitle, author, instititute and date as follows:

---
title: "A job interview presentation inspired by the R community"
subtitle: "How #tidytuesday and twitter helped me secure a job offer"
author: "Shannon Pileggi"
institute: "R-Ladies Miami Meet-up"
date: "April 22, 2021"
output:
  xaringan::moon_reader:
    lib_dir: libs
    css:
      - default
      - rladies
      - rladies-fonts
      - css/rladies-mod.css
    seal: false
    nature:
      highlightStyle: github
      highlightLines: true
      countIncrementalSlides: false
      ratio: 4:3
---

and the title slide renders as:

image

should I remove the title-class or make modifications to it so that the yaml parameters pass through?

fontawesome not rendering

Hi Silvia! I am trying to use this template to create some slides, and fontawesome isn't rendering correctly.

The slides were generated from

  1. usethis::use_course("spcanelon/RLadies-xaringan-template")
  2. knit index.Rmd

and here is what I am seeing:

I did initially have some trouble with installing fontawesome and htmltools. I updated R to 4.0.5 and the installation issue resolved. In addition, I am working on Windows 10. Do you have any ideas to further troubleshoot?

Below is my session info. I'm not too happy about that error on the 3rd line and I am wondering if I have some bigger installation issue as well.
