Thanks for the info @jhagberg ! Wouldn't this break previous versions that don't respond with "Wifly-GSX"?, I guess we could just check for both responses and find this way which version is the WiFly running.
I haven't uploaded that firmware to my WiFly, so I won't be able to check this yet. Anyway, feel free to fork the repo and add your fixes to your own branch, this way more people will be able to test them and we can merge our branches from time to time to unify changes and, hopefully, get to a common version that has all of them.
It would be nice if people here on this github repo would share in the comments which version of the WiFly firmware they are using, just to have an idea of the most used version.

Yes it probably will brake old versions. That is my comment that it should be handled better.
Your idea is one way. Another idea is to define firmware version in the config file and Define the "findInResponse string" there depending on version.
I have a fork but It is somewhat messed up right now i will try to fix it.
There is a lot of nice forks out there with new good features Would be nice if more send back pull reqs.
