streamlit-d3graph's Introduction

streamlit-d3graph

A simple component to display d3graph network graphs in Streamlit apps.

This component is powered by d3graph, a Python package that simplifies the task of creating interactive and stand-alone networks in d3 JavaScript using Python.

Installation

pip install streamlit-d3graph

Usage

import streamlit as st
from streamlit_d3graph import d3graph

# Initialize
d3 = d3graph()
# Load karate example
adjmat, df = d3.import_example('karate')

label = df['label'].values
node_size = df['degree'].values

d3.graph(adjmat)
d3.set_node_properties(color=df['label'].values)
d3.show()

d3.set_node_properties(label=label, color=label, cmap='Set1')

streamlit-d3graph's Issues

Add `show` options from `d3graph`

Hello,

I've noticed that your show method has the signature:

def show(self, figsize=(800, 800), title="d3graph", filepath=io.BytesIO())

Whereas the show method of the class it inherits from is:

show(self, figsize: Tuple[int, int] = (1500, 800), title: str = 'd3graph', filepath: str = 'd3graph.html',
             showfig: bool = True, overwrite: bool = True, show_slider: bool = True)

Allowing more options. I'm mainly interested in the show_slider option as I don't need a slider on my graph. Was there any reason for not including these extra arguments, or would it be easy to contribute a PR to add them in?

Update scipy version

'[d3graph] >Error: This release requires scipy version >= 1.8.0. Try: pip install -U scipy>=1.8.0')

Seems like you need to update scipy for the streamlit module.
