Once published online

The capstone website seems to be offline, I think because the SmithCollege-SDS organization does not have a free enterprise account. @rudeboybert do you how we can our GitHub Education discount to make this happen?

As the newsletter author, I want you to write your own update, so that I don't have to write it for you.

You can either commit the changes yourself, or just send me the markdown text you want in an email.

Acceptance criteria: The task is done when all members of the faculty have a short update in sds_newsletter_2023.qmd. This needs to go out by July 15th (before JSM).

As a program, we want to build a professional networks of alums so that we can enjoy all the benefits of thereto.

• Pick a date, time, and place. Monday evening happy hour tends to be relatively open for most people
• Estimate and reserve a table
• Let people know. Write to [email protected]. See the JSM online program and previous newsletters for a list of likely attendees and put them on the calendar invite.
• Also invite departed Smith faculty (e.g. Andrew Bray, Nick Horton, etc.). Invite incoming J-term instructor Jo Hardin.
• Show up, eat, drink, and be merry!
• Pay for everything and charge to Cost Center 3357
• Take a picture!

@beanumber You alright if I change the website footer from "Created by Ben Baumer." to "Website maintained by Ben Baumer."? Jo remarked people might be confused by the current footer in our calendar page

I was trying to rebuild the sds webpage using your makefile. Two issues

1. I hit a snag here. www/enrollments.Rmd requires a bannerdata package.
2. I assumed you meant your banner pkg, so I switched. Then I hit another snag where it says the sds data frame is missing. I'm guessing this contains confidential data?

I'll update #2 with instructions on how to build the website afterwards.
