Long-news graphs?

I think another great idea might be to embed several graphs of long-term global trends.

So for example:

<iframe src="https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/share-of-people-who-say-they-are-happy" loading="lazy" style="width: 100%; height: 600px; border: 0px none;"></iframe>

I'm happy to compile a list of these. Topics could be: CO2 levels, inequality, global happiness, global wealth, poverty, hunger, computing power... etc etc.

I think this might aid the whole longer-term perspective goals of slow news?

incorrect usage of "neither" on repo's front page

On the front page of this repo, in the readme and in the description line at the top both use "neither" when they should use "or".

"Neither" should always be paired with "nor". For example "Neither X nor Y are acceptable to me."

Don't miss out neither spend a shit-ton of time distilling trivia.

Should read "Don't miss out, or spend a shit-ton of time distilling trivia."

OR alternately,

"Neither miss out, nor spend a shit-ton of time distilling trivia."

Unfortunately that doesn't read as well. It really wants something before the neither to.

Additionally, it's not clear from the sentence what you're missing out on.

So....

"With Slower News you neither miss out [on ?????], nor spend a shit-ton of time distilling trivia."

List of improvements

I like the idea, here are some suggestions for more details:

  1. Currently some articles require a subscription or are behind a paywall maybe add a [$] to indicate.
  2. An index of all sections would be great
  3. Type of article would be great (comment, report ...)
  4. When an article was added to the page

RSS is broken

Hey, thanks for the site, I've been looking for something similar for a long time.

I'd like to consume the updates through RSS, but it's giving me the following error:

XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: </p>.
Location: https://www.slowernews.com/rss.xml
Line Number 9, Column 138:
<description><p>Some people asked for a place where they could leave their email and receive all updates on Slower News. Here it is!</description>

Thanks!

Unreadable in Chrome "dark-mode"

Using chrome with the dark-mode flag enabled. I've never seen any other site do this, could be worth checking out as dark-mode is becoming more popular.
