Check that the error view is actually working

Add welcome view

Watch package.json for changes

On save now updates the sidebar, but updates made programatically don't trigger this. Also watching would cover creation/deletion of the file.

Add search capability

Either:

Add a search box to the treeview/sidebar
Or add search via Webview

It doesn't seem that a tree view search is possible (see: microsoft/vscode#50062)

VSCode Insiders - Not listing packages

Not working with VS Code Insiders.

Commands used internally should not be callable via the command dropdown

Currently commands added by vsc-packages are callable, but arguments are required. Either find out how to stop them being called directly or handle missing arguments

Add ability to install packages

See if activationEvents can be improved

Currently it is ""workspaceContains:./package.json""

Workspace folders with out a package.json in the root folder

If there is no root package.json, sub folders should still be checked.

FolderList - add vscode.workspace.onDidChangeWorkspaceFolders to disposables

Look for a simple templating system

Current system using string literals could be replaced with a proper templating system, espcially as search may also require a webview

Add support for mutiple workspace folders

Tests should use parcel not tsc

Inform user if a package is installed mutiple times

Like in dependencies and optionalDependencies, or maybe just twice in the same json file

Improve search results

Add an indication when a package is installed already
** Add a remove option instead of install
** Show options to move between dep types
Show loading when a package is being installed so that install can't be triggered again.
Test installing multiple packages and see if only one install command should be run at a time

Missing images in the docs

Hey there,
I just wanted to report this issue, I'm missing the images in the package docs :(

Package.json not in root of the workspace support

There are projects, where package.json is not in the root of the workspace. This is fully supported by VS Code core functions, so I guess it would be easy to follow the same path and implement it for this extension too.

Dependabot couldn't find the branch develop

Dependabot was set up to create pull requests against the branch develop, but couldn't find it.

If the branch has been permanently deleted you can update Dependabot's target branch in the .dependabot/config.yml file in this repo.
