Allow caller to specify color of path.
Note this needs the marker ends to be updated (or added to defs) as appropriate

data is there - something is going wrong in the mappings - possibly a key/id?

Leverage directed edge logic - with indices (base on path offset indices).
Need to ensure directed single and multi graphs still function correctly.

there are two possible actions path vis can take:

• draw a new path
• modify an existing path

this depends on the data type being sent. Previously was hashing off the src/dst nodes of a path, but this won't scale to cases where user may have multiple paths to the same src/dst pair.

Instead:

• by default hash off the entire path. this allows colour updates etc. Will need to check if there are multiple overlaid paths (but vis doesn't show these seperately yet)
• allow an "id" which the user can define. this can be used to update/transition a path: if a new path is sent with the same id, then the animation will tween to the new path - providing a visual transition.

due to the way d3 calculates edge radii, make the index use as the angle multiplier logarithmic
