It is possible to have multiple network adapters with identical names. This is frequently observed when upgrading VirtualBox, which can leave behind bad virtual network adapters that can never be removed without taking extreme measures with the registry, or reinstalling Windows from scratch. This appears to also be possible with, in at least one case, USB network adapters, which can leave behind multiple orphaned adapters with the same names.
In this case, a user reports the presence of 16 identically named network adapters. Neither the "pro" nor "non-pro" Network Meters can handle this case properly. NetMonitor fails because stats from the invalid adapters overwrite valid one, and Rainmeter itself fails because it cannot retrieve stats by name because it finds the wrong adapter (presumably the first in the list). Rainmeter's Interface=Best
option is the only thing that works correctly.
Enhance NetMonitor to attempt to exclude invalid adapters without excluding ones that are simply down or disconnected. Also, correct a bug in the non-Pro Network gadgets that do not properly report "session" stats when no network adapters are configured.
the 11th gen CPU names is way to long to fit in the window of All CPU Meter
I manually edited the config file to Substitute="\(R\)":"","\(TM\)":"","\(tm\)":"","Intel ":"","AMD ":"","CPU ":"","@.*":"","\s$":"","11th":"","Gen":""
so it now displays Core i7-11700K instead of 11th Gen Core i7-11700K
I've tried to modify the ini to lower the Full threshold from 10% to 5% free to make the drive not show a red bar. I've had no success.
Loading the weather meter.ini on other PC's works fine, but I have one that will not load for some reason, and I am not sure where to find the answer. I was wondering if you had a chance to look this over.
When loading the ini.
Refreshing skin (Gadgets\Weather Meter\Weather Meter.ini)
Then the next line is:
Invalid TimeStampFormat: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S (Gadgets\Weather Meter\Weather Meter.ini - [@CurrentObservationDate])
Invalid TimeStampFormat: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S (Gadgets\Weather Meter\Weather Meter.ini - [@CurrentObservationTime])
Invalid TimeStampFormat: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S (Gadgets\Weather Meter\Weather Meter.ini - [@CurrentSunriseTime])
Invalid TimeStampFormat: %Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S (Gadgets\Weather Meter\Weather Meter.ini - [@CurrentSunriseTime])
I have more of the plugin in a word document. But I was unsure what you needed.
Thanks for your time! Best skins of all time!
Never mind, rebuilding Windows Performance Monitor counters solved the errors :)
All skins based on JSMorley's weather.com JSON templates are broken as of 1/10/2022. TWC has changed their API to a different value. To fix this, open the WeatherComJSONVariables.inc file and change the APIKey variable as follows:
APIKey=21d8a80b3d6b444998a80b3d6b1449d3
Save the file and refresh the skin, and all should work. This will be corrected in the next release.
Is there a workaround for monitoring network drives?
After updating from 5.5.1 to 6.0.2, CPU Meter might have lost the ability to measure multiple NUMA nodes? Under Distributed Memory/UMA mode the charts work just fine, cores 1-32 all show load. Under Local Memory/NUMA mode I lose the ability to see any utilization of the second CPU die, and I can only see activity for cores 1-16.
Enhance the All CPU Meter gadget to invoke either the Task Manager or the Resource Monitor when the gadget is double-clicked. This will match the behavior of the original AddGadgets.com All CPU Meter.
Hello,
Since upgrading to HWiNFO 7.0X, the CPU meter has not been showing performance/usage information for my 2700X and I can't figure out why.
HWiNFO64: 7.02-4430

Hey there,
Firstly, big thanks for your work on this project!
Since updating from 5.0.0 to 7.1.1 (yes...wow) I noticed the standard Network Monitor skin was reporting values which appeared to be multiples of the correct values (as reported by some on the forum). However, your patch notes for 7.1.1 mention this was fixed...
Corrected Network Meter regression issue where monitoring could report incorrect values if no adapters were configured.
The issue remains for me, though I can provide possible some extra info...
For reference, the computer I figured this out on has 2 Realtek GBE devices, and no wireless network devices. Only 1 of the 2 GBE cards is actually in use, the other had no cable attached during testing.
Windows 10 20H1 b19043.1288
Please enhance the weather gadget to allow showing hybrid units. Both celsius and fahrenheit.
So to be more precise, the gadget that causes the most lag is the calendar (with day) widget. When this specific widget is active it causes significant delay with a secondary machine on a Multiplicity KM (Stardock product)
When I have the all CPU widget AND the calendar widget going, the secondary computer is all but unusable.
We think this has something to do with checking the core count too frequently, as well as the calendar checking the day too frequently. Something along those lines.
The specs for this machine are
CPU: AMD Ryzen TR 3990x (64 cores)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200 Mhz (256gb)
OS Drive: WD 2TB nvme M.2 SSD
OS: Win 10 Pro 64bit
Motherboard: Aorus TRX40 Master
GPU: EVGA RTX 2080 TI FTW3 Ultra Gaming
Other software tested / compared lag when task killed / exited
Windowblinds
iCue
Skype
Unity Hub
Wallpaper Engine
Steam
Origin
Epic
CCleaner
Adobe Creative Cloud
None of the above software had any affect up or down when running or not.
At one point the only 2 things I had running (other than vanilla Windows services) was Multiplicity and Rainmeter, and I still incurred a lot of lag.
I alternated and other skins do create some input delay depending on what they do. For instance audio visualizers tend to cause some...But still not as much as that calendar gadget.
I appreciate the work you're doing and the time it takes to improve this. Thank you.
Any help you can be with this would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
Love your Gadgets.
Can you please explain how do I set the cpu Clock (MHz)
Cannot find the place in the page Edit HWiNFO Settings.
Thanks
As shown on the screenshot, I've been trying to get it to notice HWiNFO when it's running and was making sure detection settings on the app are checked off and everything, but I can't get this skin to display by GPU stats.
This is my first ever github post so if there's anything I need to add please let me know.
I just did an upgrade from i7-8086k to an AMD 5900x. I have everything working except if I tell it to report Index 0 for CPU Temp, then the clock speed stops reporting. If I remove 0 from the config file for the HWiNFO_CPU0_DTS_CoreMax=0 (0 is the index for the Tdie) then the clock speed starts reporting. Its like both can't run together. I even tried making it only report overall temp with that, and same issue.
Using latest stable version of HWiNFO and gadgets.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Starting with version 7.00, HWiNFO64's free version is limiting shared memory time to 12 hours unless you pay for the Pro version. Recommendation is to find something other than HWiNFO for the gadgets that use them.
I have downgraded to HWiNFO64 v6.42 (not easy to find, I found it at https://www.filepuma.com/download/hwinfo64_6.42-27806/) in the meantime.
Graphics cards often have two or more fans. Add the capability to monitor up to 4 fans PER GPU.
I just can't find what's going on. Everything worked as intended yesterday. I am on the newest version of Rainmeter (4.5.13.3632 64-bit) and HWInfo (7.22-4731) and Windows 10 with all current updates. I think there were some updates yesterday (namely KB5011831 and KB5012157). Today rainmeter suddenly won't show up on start. So I, one by one, deactivated every skin and tried starting it up. If I deactivate All CPU Meter and Drives Meter in the Rainmeter.ini, rainmeter starts as normal and all other skins are working. I also got GPU Meter, Network Meter, Clock and Weather Meter of your suite aktive and they are working fine. Only CPU and Drives are not working anylonger. Every time i activate them, rainmeter crashes without an error-message.
Thank you for maintaining and updating this skin.
In "All CPU Meter" the Page % displays as 0% when it should be 6%. I believe you missed the "Percentual=1" when you updated this gadget. I added it and everything looks good.

I am using it with a NUC 10 Performance kit - NUC10i3FNK with Core i3-1010U.
As you can see in the attached image, the CPU usage is shown above 100%.
The same phenomenon does not occur on my other PC, the one with the i7-8700.
This may not be a problem in practical use, but please check it out
Rainmeter Version
Rainmeter 4.5.2.3541 (64-bit)
Build time: 2021-09-11 23:35:58

I'm having an issue that is a bit odd. With my i7-10700, when the CPU is basically idle (Task Manager's details tab reports the idle process at 90%) and the clock is below about 4GHz, somehow CPU meter reports all cores at or above 100%.
I went to the wiki page and switched to legacy mode, and now during normal use, I don't see any cores hitting 100%
I'm wondering if there's an issue with non-legacy mode reporting to cause this?
With this example image, the right side might have a max core value of let's say 40%-80%
That was hilarious, after going through all the weather location options mentioned, the only one that worked was the one at the very end of the end... the zip code!
Hello,
Got issue or maybe feature missing, but when i change the Core 1 color it changes the Temp too (as i'm not using per core temps bc i have AMD) so the Temp color is linked to the Core 1 color and i'd like to make them different colors
Can you do something about this ?
Starting either yesterday or today my Gadgets 7.2.0 layout started taking a long time to come up. (It could have changed before then but I only reboot my PC or restart Rainmeter when required.)
I just now was prompted to update Rainmeter to 4.5.11.3607 and did so. The Rainmeter icon showed up immediately on the taskbar but the gadgets took a long time to appear.
I unloaded and loaded each gadget. All of them load instantly (less than 1 second) except the Drives Meter which took 23 seconds to load. I am not aware of any other changes to my hardware or software.
RAM Usage not showing in the All CPU Meter. Is this a DDR5 thing?
I have a minor issue showing Temperature and Visibility in the metric system (i.e. °C and km) while also showing the phase of the moon in English. It would seem the latter is not translated since it'll keep the language of whatever LocaleName I choose.
For instance, in WeatherVariables.inc I change the following:
DisableLocale=1
LocaleName=de-DE
Lang=EN
and I get the following:
The 5-day forecast will also retain week days in German as well as particular weather features such as thunderstorms, etc.
Perhaps these issues have everything to do with weather.com and not the gadget as such...
Otherwise, I just stumbled over the Rainmeter gadgets (and finally got rid of the antiquated original MS ones) and I truly appreciate all the efforts which have gone into these - and particularly I like the remakes done by SilverAzide, so many thanks and cheers!
hi Silver Azide
my computer GPU is ASUS TUF RTX3080 LHR,
rainmeter is 4.5.13 ,HWiNFO64 is 7.20
and your Gadgets is 7.20
but the GPU meter is not configured
is that setting or somthing wrong?
Hi,
I am experiencing all of the gadgets being frozen, and the Rainmeter icon is also frozen (when I rightclick on it, nothing happens).
I have followed your documented procedure for rebuilding the perfmon databases, twice, rebooting afterwards each time, and I get the same result. The gadgets paint very slowly during the bootup, and then are frozen, as is Rainmeter itself.
I tried uninstalling rainmeter and downgrading to the previous version but that didn't help. I have updated to the latest version of your gadgets and that didn't help.
One thing that seems a bit odd that I noticed, is that when I click on the "show desktop" button, the clock shows the correct time, but the second hand is frozen, and the clock does not advance while I am on the desktop.
I also did an SFC /scannow, and had no errors, and did a DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth to verify that my windows installation was healty -- no issues there.
This started happening within the last couple of weeks. I can't pinpoint it to any individual event, but it could be related to a recent windows 10 update?
Any help would be appreciated.
This is on an HP z460 workstation with an 8 core Xeon E5-4655 v4, 64GB memory running windows 10 pro 64bit 21H2 with all updates, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB video card using the more "stable" "enterprise" "Studio Driver" (installed after the "Geoforce game ready driver" started to hang my system when the screen was turned off).

v7.3.0 only seems to be able to 'see' Drive C: and D:, but no mapped network drives which are assigned letters...am I missing something that changed?
Weather meter is stuck on connecting again. It was working up until this morning with no issue. I just grabbed the latest from the releases and it didn't help (not sure if i was outdated or not).
Hi SilverAzide, I have a question about “Check for Updates” in Gadgets. Right now I see a notification for 7.1.1 - 2021-09-18. This update doesn’t interest me so I click “Remind me later” but the notification recurs at intervals. Is there a way I can avoid notifications for 7.1.1 - 2021-09-18 and instead get a notification for the next release?
HWiNFO only reports a temperature for the entire CPU, rather than for each individual core (probably because my CPU doesn't have sensors for that). There should be an option for just having the total/average temperature for the entire CPU, instead of having it on a core-by-core basis.
I have a new AMD RX 6800 and it pretty often reports 0 MHz core clock while idle, doing nothing.
It seems, like GPU Meter is confused by this, as whenever GPU clock goes to zero, it stops showing any values and reports it is not configured.
I had to switch it to use "GPU Clock (Effective)" sensor instead of "GPU Clock", to workaround it, as that one seems to somehow average the clock, so it never goes to zero.
I am using new 6.0.0 version of gadgets with Rainmeter 4.4.0.3438 and HWInfo 7.0.2-4430.
Since the latest Windows 11 update (presumably KB5010795), a number of meters have been missing data:
I am not sure what broke with this update, but figured I'd pass this along in case it's actually not the update, and just me doing something silly. I updated to the latest Gadgets to rule out an old version.
With a lot of drives the drive meter skin gets very long. I want to request a setting to display at least 2 columns of drives and a wider graph to fit accordingly.
Hi, I'm trying to disable graphs for Network, Drives, CPU and GPU meters. I commented lines below "Graph" sections but now I can't figure out how to resize gadgets to fit the new heights (removing blank sections at the bottom).
Can you please tell me where I need to modify files ?
Edit: typos
Hi,
I configured the CPU- and GPU-Meter and nearly all values are shown.
Using the latest version 7.2.0 of the Gadgets for Rainmeter. Rainmeter is latest version.
But the core voltage of the GPU isn't shown.
(RPM at 0 is right, HWInfo update here no values, have to check it in parallel)
Why the core voltage isn't shown?
Thanks for helping.
When using both wireless and ethernet interfaces, both the Wireless Meter gadget and the Network Meter gadget display the same internal IP, which is false. It appears to be always displaying the internal IP for the ethernet NIC. See below, the difference between the gadget and my wireless interface's actual internal IP.
I like the chronometer but I wanted to get rid of the Day-Week-Quarter line so I modified Digital Clock.ini (attached.)
I added variable HideDWQ, setting it to 1 hides the line and shrinks the clock, setting it to 0 leaves the clock as is. I did not make the changes to Settings.ini to make this a complete enhancement. All modified lines have the original line commented out with ";DAS original line" followed by the altered line.
Fell free to incorporate or ignore this.
Thanks again for all your work on the Gadgets,
Doug
Unsure if you take any requested features, but any chance to update the gadget to support 128-threads in one gadget ?
Yes I'm one of those lucky ones that took a mortgage out for the 128-thread beast. AMD TR 3990X with an ASUS Zenith II Extreme Alpha.
I tried running the gadgets in 2 nodes but that doesn't work on the latest windows with my setup.
Absolutely love the gadgets btw !
P.S.: I do realize it will make it very long, but at least that is an option. I use an 8K resolution so I am fine, but I think it would fit on 4K screeens).
Cheers for now.
