About

Menu Bar Ticker is a simple macOS menu bar item that displays the current artist and song playing in iTunes, Rdio, or Spotify.

There are no other fancy features.

Verified to work with the following as of July 19, 2019:

  • macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
  • macOS Mojave (10.14.5)
  • iTunes 12.8.2.3
  • iTunes 12.9.5.5
  • Spotify 1.1.10.540.gfcf0430f

Installation

Download the latest release and extract the Menu Bar Ticker.app file from the menubar-ticker-vX.Y.Z.tar.bz2 file. You can move it into your Applications folder if you wish. Follow Apple's instructions to start the app automatically when you log in.
