reset-password-dialog's Issues

Make strings configurable

Hi!

We'd like to use reset-password-dialog and we have customised the jar with the following changes

master...maoo:master

We'd like to contribute a way to read the strings changed from an external properties file (maybe alfresco-global.properties?)

Any ideas on how to achieve it? If not, I can start working on a Pull Request.

Thanks!
mao

Email Sender

Hi,

I'm user of Alfresco 5.0 community edition.
I just installed this module into 5.0 and tried to test it, but I found a issue.

This module worked fine in 5.0.
However, sender name and address of email was not one's of administrator but ones of general user.

How can I fixed the sender name and address as administrator user.

Best Regards,
Satake

module not available in Module Deployment in Alfresco 4.2c

After putting the .jar (2.0.1) in the shared/lib folder within tomcat's folder and restarting the server, the module does not show up in Share's module deployment page. Hence, the recover password link is not available on the login page of Share.
Tried other modules and they are showing up fine and can be added. Are there any dependencies other then just putting the jar files within the shared folder or is something wrong with this plugin?

Thanks,
Jero

Fails if admin user disabled (?)

I've hit a set of issues:

  • initially error "Could not reset the password as an e-mail confirmation could not be sent"
  • when I edited the script to expose more detailed error messages, discovered that "people" and "userhome" global variables are not set
  • commenting out these lines makes the script run, but the password isn't actually changed: people.setPassword() silently fails, which suggests script not running as admin
  • in alfresco/templates/webscripts/org/sharextras/slingshot/reset-user-password.post.desc.xml, authentication is set to "runas" user "admin". But in my setup, this user's account is disabled, and alfresco-global.properties has property "alfresco_user_store.adminusername" set to another username

When I changed the "runas" in alfresco/templates/webscripts/org/sharextras/slingshot/reset-user-password.post.desc.xml to the same user as in alfresco-global.properties, then everything seems to work!

Not sure how to robustly make sure the script uses the right admin username.

reset password jar 2.1.0 not working in my alfresco share 4.2.c

i just download the reset-password-dialog-2.1.0.jar file from ur site and past it in tomcat/shared/lib folder.restart the server! but it wont reflect in my login page. if any other configuration required please let me know and help o solve the issue
