This document details how to compile the PDF of Srinivas Gorur-Shandilya's PhD thesis from source (contained in this folder)

Requirements

  1. Latex. On MacOS, I used MacTex
  2. LyX

How to compile the PDF

  1. Open ClassicThesis.lyx on this folder using LyX
  2. View PDF using ⌘+R

Troubleshooting

Everything dies when I make the PDF using ⌘+T

Don't. Use ⌘+R

It complains about a "misplaced \omit"

Ignore it. Click on "Show Output Anyway"

It complains about "Too many commas in name 1 of "Annual Reviews 4139 El Camino Way, PO Box 10139, Palo Alto, CA 94303-0139, USA" for entry Murlis:1992kp while executing---line 2659 of file biblatex.bst"

Ignore it. Click on "Show Output Anyway"
