If you can, I strongly recommend upgrading to Firefox Quantum. There does seem to be an issue with FF55; I'm looking into it.

Some of the WebExtension APIs are not available in Firefox 55. Ideally, Firefox 59 is the recommended minimum version to optimally use Chameleon. I'll work on trying to make it backwards compatible. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Chameleon should work with Firefox 55 now. The browser APIs that aren't supported are hidden from the user.
EDIT:
FF59+ is required to use Chameleon. More info can be found here.

I Chameleon tryed oh firefox 55 and it show incompatible and impossible to install
