Sensu Assets are the best way to make use of this plugin. If you're not using an asset, please consider doing so! If you're using sensuctl 5.13 with Sensu Backend 5.13 or later, you can use the following command to add the asset:

sensuctl asset add nixwiz/check-ntp

If you're using an earlier version of sensuctl, you can find the asset on the Bonsai Asset Index.

check-ntp's Issues

Add Tests

This plugin needs tests. It has been suggested that functional tests may be a good fit for check integrations. Perhaps something like https://github.com/brodie/cram.

The main challenge here is largely in building suitable reproducible environments for these functional tests to be ran in. Containers may work, but ntpd and chronyd are both almost always ran with an init system/systemd, so vagrant VMs may work better? IDK.
