I just updated it yesterday - check the latest release on the releases page and try that.

Thanks for the quick follow-up Sean. I double-checked I have the right release (I even uninstalled the managed solution and then reinstalled again from the latest release):

Here's the snippet from the tool in our environment:

In looking further at the settings.xml file (what you included in the source code), the TrackCategorizedItems is not listed as an orgsetting node.

Thanks again for the help.

My apologies and mistake, I did indeed miss this in the release yesterday!

Just got it added, checked in, built, and published as a release. Thanks for the heads up!

Once I add it to the published builds list you'll get a notification in the editor. If you already have the web editor open just press "Ctrl+Shift+b" and it will force an update check and give you the url to download the release as well as a link to the import window.

We're getting closer. The setting shows up in the editor, but when I click on the Add button I get an error message:
image

Here's what the error specifies:

We've handled an error, for reference the error info is:
Name: Error
Message:There was an error updating your orgDBOrgSettings: Invalid Organization Setting passed in. Please check the datatype and pass in an appropriate value.
Description:Error Description Is Null
stack:Error: There was an error updating your orgDBOrgSettings: Invalid Organization Setting passed in. Please check the datatype and pass in an appropriate
value, at Object.

Perhaps there is something amiss with OrgDbOrgSettings Tool itself with this specific setting?

I have tested in an 8.2.2.x online org - what version is the instance you're testing in?

Interesting, I also just tested in a v9 org and mine does not work either - looks as if version 9.0.2.54 does not include this setting yet - when the setting is added the platform tries to validate it and throws an exception saying the setting isn't valid.

Reviewing the blog it does say the v9 support is "soon to follow" - https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/crm/2018/05/02/introducing-outlook-category-based-tracking-in-server-side-synchronization/

Apologies for the confusion, I'll work to rev it one more time to hide the setting in v9 for the currently released version - right now it's set to be 'hidden' in v9.0.2 build 100 or less. If a build higher than 100 ships it will show up - if it's still not included then I'll re-adjust at that point. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
