At my office, we have a platform that users use to train in certain infosec topics. We keep track of all 404s on the server so we can track errors. 404s are very rare and usually indicate an issue. However, one of our users is using this extension and we found it to be the culprit of creating multiple 404 errors. Every time the user visits a page on our interface, they make a request for a non-existent .json page and generate a 404.

Ideally, you could blacklist domains for the extension to work on. This would prevent requests on non-desired sites. If you wanted to be really advanced, the extension could detect if a site is a shopify site or not before processing on it.
