Hi There, don't suppose you'd be able to provide any .bin files for the project.

I have tried compiling, but I am really struggling with errors. I have the 6 button Opple switch and would love to be able to flash a binary straight to it.

Have you ever though about working on getting other Aqara products working with Hue? Specifically https://www.aqara.com/en/smart_light_switch_no_neutral.html?

Hey, I haven't flashed this yet but wanted to check something. My current issue with the Opple switches is that the they turn off about 5s after a press, meaning that the release command after long press never gets sent if the long press is more than 5s. Does this firmware fix that, or can it?

I own this little FTDI FT232RL-based board:

It features only 5V, RT, TX and GND pins.

Based on your photos and the UartSBee v5 PCB schematic, it seems you are using the following connections:

Do you think I can wire my FT232RL board to an Aqara Opple as described below and flash it?

Could you please also tell me which data sheet correspond the written numbers on the JTAG pinout picture?
