Insufficient free space check requires total size available even on resumed downloads

Bailing out was commented in scakemyer/quasar@8225ffd for the time being. Need to move the check after either status.GetTotal_done() or status.GetAll_time_download() gets populated, so as to get an accurate reading on the free space needed with torrentSize := btp.torrentInfo.Total_size() - status.GetTotal_done()

Add library integration

@i96751414 Did that require changes to daemon also? Otherwise I could just cherry-pick your previous commit.

Increase the time out for provider

Please, could you change the 4s default for the time out to 30s? Thank you.

Fails to start Deamon Android X86

Deamon fails to start on Android 4.2.2 X86(Tab 3)
Unable to find Binary(however i verified the it exists in the zip)

Does Android X64 support X86?

Import to library - Specials get mixed in the season

When importing shows into the library specials S00-### episodes gets mixed up with S01 episodes. All the S## are special episodes

Download keeps dropping when using external storage on openelec

Hello,

First off amazing work.

However I'm currently having issues using external storage path on openelec. I'm using Wetek play with openelec 5.9 kodi 14.2. When I set the download path to external storage e.g 8gb usb ntfs/exfat the starts to download and gather seeds but then the download speed completely drops down to 1kb ? It works perfect using onboard storage.

Is this a known bug ? otherwise please close this issue

Library Integration: Issue when adding TVshows to kodi library

Bug report:
Within Quasar and when adding a TVShow, strm files are generated within the directory set via the library path in the configuration, but sometimes not, expecially when you add several shows in a row. This leads to that the show is added to kodi library but doesn't have any seasons or episodes in them.

Noted in Quasar versions:
0.9.1-beta2
0.9.4

Keeps asking me to restart and doesn't show addon loaded at the beginning. I've already tried restarting kodi, rebooting the pc and reinstalling in a fresh version of kodi. To no avail.

Provider issue: MC Kickass v1.0 for Quasar

Bug Report:
Example, you choose a TV episode within Kodi (library integrated = not tested from within Quasar) and get a choose stream dialog up (so far so good), but when you choose one of the files to stream, Quasar starts to buffer / download (stream) another file than the choosen one (the file size is incorrect), so you actually have stop the stream, and choose again in blindness to get the stream you actually want to look at. I have no idea if this is a Quasar or a provider problem when it comes to sorting and getting the right input from the dialog. Maybe both the Quasar team and MC need to check on this?

Add-on is keeping skin files open which prevent skin updates

The process of pulsar.exe is using Textures.xbt file, which causing kodi to crash when I push skin updates to my users.

Automatically mark as "watched" after stream completion with library integration

Native Kodi won't automatically mark .strm's as "watched" after their completion. I've been told it has to do with Kodi treating .strm's as playlists and not videos.

However, I've also heard that addons themselves can force the action of marking the status as "watched" to get around Kodi's limitations.

I'd love to see code added to Quasar so that .strms can get automatically marked as watched after they get watched to completion.

Indefenitely Buffering

Hello,

Thanks for working on such a nice plugin. I'm using it on my Raspberry Pi 2 with OpenELEC and everything except playing the stream works. I was also using Pulsar before this fork came and it worked as expected, but I installed Quasar because it will bring new features.

The problem with Quasar is that once buffer is loaded and file starts playing the black box appears over the video. The video is paused and buffering continues. If I press play button then the file is played for some time, but it soon again starts buffering. This kind of working I firstly saw after Qusar install, with Pulsar I didn't experience that. I'm storing the file to the network share (SMB) which is mounted on system start to downloads folder. The same config existed in Pulsar. The speed of download/upload is 1.5 MB/s so this shouldn't be the issue. The problem is same for 12 GB large files as well for 300 MB files. The same problem exists in all versions of Quasar I tried for now. Do you have any suggestion what to do to reslove that issue?

Which libtorrent version is Quasar using?

It's not an issue it's more like question. I'm interesting which version of libtorrent Quasar uses? I'm asking this cause if we ever come to the point where we can use private trackers as providers with Quasar it could be vital obstacle to avoid. I think everything could be done sometime like options "keep seeding after watching or download" or "turn on/off DHT" cause all of that should be available with client itself. As I said eralier Torrenter have also option keep seeding after download so i want to belive it's possible for Quasar to have that also.

The only one thing can stop that idea is torrent client, but fortunately I was seraching and found that every private tracker allows using libtorrent (rtorrent) as bit torrent client. :) And most version supported are libtorrent 0.11.x, libtorrent 0.12.x, libtorrent 0.13.x there is other specific who could be allowed by most of privates like libtorrent 0.10.4

So i hope that Quasar use some of those 0.11.x - 0.13.x versions? :)

Overlay Status stays open if download finishes while paused

Ask to keep the file

Pls add an option to ask to save the file you are going to download just after choosing the stream source when keep filles after playing is disabled in Quasar config.
I dont want to keep the files except for those my children wants to see all the time !!! :)

"One or more items failed to play" after initial buffering

I get this error message for every video I am trying to play using Quasar. This happens immediately after the initial buffering has finished. Are there any settings I have to make on my Kodi? I am trying this on Amlogic Ambox (Android 4.4) . I works fine on rpi - openelec though.

Addon does not have the correct structure

Multi-Episode/Season Pack Compatibility

Oftentimes with older TV shows, the providers aren't able to find many well seeded single episode torrents. One way around this problem is to allow Quasar to find well seeded season packs that contain the episode in question, and then only download the episode being searched.

Feature request: limit speed after buffer is build

I would like to see the applied configured limit of the speed after the movies starts.
This way we can make the buffer bigger and not waiting to much for a movie to start.
What do you think?

edit: i usually limit speed for better raspberry pi resource optimization. If i leave it without a limit, it becomes unresponsive.

Missing the ability to forward (Yatse's open/share with ...) torrent's magnet link from Android device's browser

For a long time, I've been streaming torrents with Pulsar without providers.
I've been doing this by using either an Android device (with Yatse) or Chrome's extension Play to Kodi.
By pressing a TV show's og movie's magnet-icon on a given torrent site (Kickass, or so) the 'Open/Share with ...' menu would open – and choosing 'Play with Kodi' has always opened the stream in Pulsar.

This was possible with the Quasar's initial releases, but unfortunately it stopped with v.0.9.1.
Please bring this feature back. I really miss it.

This will also make Quasar still usable if providers fail or are not installed to begin with.

Movies Names sometimes appears as Gibrish when the languge is Hebrew

Daemon is very slow to start on Windows

I've been going over our commits multiple times, mistakenly thought it was the new translation support (my apologies @i96751414), and still can't pinpoint what caused the slow loading times. It might be from the libtorrent-go stack, but from the logs it just looks like it takes a lot of time for Kodi to even trigger starting the daemon, after which it starts in a very decent amount of time. So I suspect the issue really lies on the Python side.

quasar is spamming DNS requests for google.com

This issue is identical to steeve#208

I noticed pulsar was sending DNS requests for the google.com. A and AAAA records once every second. I removed it and installed plugin.video.quasar 0.9.3 just now, but the problem is still occurring.

The threads in the quasar daemon process are doing the google.com. lookup followed by connecting a socket to UDP port 9 on one of the addresses returned by the lookup, registering the socket with epoll, then almost immediately closing the socket without sending any traffic.

OpenELEC does not cache the DNS results so the lookups might be side effects of regular calls to net.Dial. The lookup/connect/close every second seems like strange behaviour, though.

Feature request: Resume stream

I have mentioned this to i9 in the past, but it would be good to have a feature (if possible) in Quasar where it actually saves the stream in some way (either the torrent file or something else) and when you resumes a TV Show episode or a movie, it will start to stream from the last stream you used. If this feature is added, it will go faster to resume a movie / episode you have seen earlier and skip the choosing stream part since you almost always try to find the same stream as you had before.

Example from user point of view on how this would work in theory:

Click on the TV Episode
Choose Resume
A dialog shows up where you can choose to resume the same previous stream (showing its name) or to continue to the dialog with choosing streams from the configured providers.

It would be good if the last downloaded subtitle will be saved as well and used with the same stream, but if another stream is used, to remove the subtitle (so you don't pollute Kodi with a lot of crap files).

Quasar 0.9.2 crashes while 0.9.1 worked fine

Kodi auto update to 0.9.2 and it crashes on my Android 5.1.1.
0.9.1 worked fine. Check the 0.9.2 but don't see any option to roll back :(

Internet throttle.

Using this addon, as well as Pulsar, my router gets throttled, blocking the internet.
Can you please add an option to limit max connections allowed ?
Torrenter uses that, and its the only way to stop this. I've had this problem with another Thompson but I had the same problem with an old Linksys router....and i am not the only one.

I don't know what the previous issues were with creating Providers for Private Trackers but I know mancuniancol had tried in the past.

Quasar crashes in fresh Kodi 15.2 on Ubuntu 14.04

New Providers for quasar

First, good work with Quasar. I want to support your work, but I cannot do it if you keep the pulsar name in the directory. Then, I want to propose you to do the change to plugin.video.quasar ASAP and I will release a quasar version of my whole providers catalogue. I will use script.quasar.name_provider.

Error adding some TV Shows to library

Quasar fails when adding some TV Shows to the library, for example: Fargo, Mr. Robot, House of Cards (US). The error in the log is:

EDIT2: I found the error, it happens when a Show have a Season without Episodes (Specials for example). I do not have knowledge about Go language, but i think the error is in this file: https://github.com/scakemyer/quasar/blob/master/api/library.go

Adding support to play torrent file from local files.

I am wondering if it is possible to add the support to play torrent file from local storage.

Opening stream mask remains on the foreground and nothing happens

Quasar mask with a note "Opening stream" remains open after choosing for a movie to be played. The following error appears on the log file:
"ERROR: CPythonInvoker(167, /storage/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.pulsar/navigation.py): script didn't stop in 5 seconds - let's kill it"

This happens only to certain cases and maybe it is a problem related to trackers (i saw a few of these "Tracker udp://trackername.com:6969" is not available because: Request timed out), but the mask was there not doing anything, so i had to kill it myself and search for the log file to find the error.
In order to bypass the error, i had to add some extra options to the providers which actually worked.

I can provide logs if needed.

Providers should return the `size` and `provider` fields to keep streams clean

v0.9.6 introduces a new layout to choose streams, and stream names will be truncated to 80 characters. Please use the size field (string) and provider instead of concatenating it all in one line.

Daemon Fails to Start Android 4.4

In the latest update 0.9.1 i get and error message loading daemon at the start of kodi. Something about a file already exists or something like that... (a write permission error?)

Quasar library integration - crash

Bug Report:
A Movie or a TV Show episode are added to the Quasar Library (within Quasar). The Kodi content settings on Movies and the Show directory (set under the library configuration in Quasar) then scans and imports it to the Kodi Library = so far so good. When you remove the TV Show or the Movie from the Kodi Library (via manage under TV Shows or Movies in Kodi) it goes well. But after readding it via Quasar to the Quasar Library again, a pop up dialog shows up saying cleaning the database and the dialog just hangs forever = you can't turn the htpc box of via the remote, or exit, and you have to push the button for 5 seconds so it turns it self off. It works to reboot or shutdown Openelec via ssh as well.

Speculation:
When adding a TV Show or a Movie from Quasar, it adds this to the json db file under the library path in the configuration. When re adding the movie/show, it sees that the strm files are gone (that has been wiped by the Kodi Manage tool) and freezes up since it doesn't have any exception on that.

Trakt List Integration

It would be great to see Quasar have the built-in ability to take movies and TV shows that users have on their Trakt watchlist and various custom lists, and integrate them into the Movie/TV show libraries within Kodi.

Specifically, it would be nice to break out the integration by having the following settings (or something similar):

"Integrate Trakt Watchlist" -- Off/On
"Integrate Trakt Custom Lists" -- Off/On
........"Only integrate custom lists with the below keyword" -- Off/On
..................."Keyword" -- Quasar (Or could be modified to anything else by the user)

Mancuniancol's Trakt Subscription List that worked with Pulsar pretty much did exactly the above. Maybe it would be good to check out that addon's code?

First of all great work everybody working on this plugin after Steeve stopped and Pulsar came crumbling down so did my sanity ;-)

Freezing mouse

Hi all. Added Quasar today and noticed freezing mouse issues. Running on windows 7, kodi 15.2, basic rf mouse.

Revamp list view of available streams

While this is mostly a cosmetic issue, the list view of available streams in Pulsar left a lot to be desired.

When Pulsar was set up to show all available streams, the list contained entries that were simply just long concatenated lines of info that contained seeders, leechers, size, name, and sometimes the provider. On a lot of skins, the entries became so wide that the text auto-scrolled and became hard to read.

I was thinking it'd would be great to try and parse some of the info out into a more readable format. Can size, resolution, and name all get parsed out? If so, maybe something like the following "multi-line" approach?

Duplicate handling during library integration

With all the hopefully upcoming various ways to integrate Quasar streams into Kodi's main Movie/TV Show libraries, it would be great to add in some capability on duplicate handling.

My thinking is there could be a setting that was something like "Integration: Ignore Duplicates?" that was defaulted to 'On.'

That way, when it's on, and I try to integrate the movie 'The Prestige' (whether it's from a Trakt list, or because I used the context menu to integrate it after searching it in Quasar or through another integration method), if I already have a physical local copy of 'The Prestige' in my library, then it would ignore the integration of that .strm file and not add it in.

But then if for some reason a user would want to allow duplicates, they could turn the setting off and then they would have two instances of 'The Prestige' in their library (using the above example).

Add possibility to search in one provider

One thing that I always miss is the possibility to search in one provider, like if I go to the provider's web and do a search.

We can use the "general" search, but it searchs in all the providers and merges the results. I want something that permits me to do a search in X web (done by a providers) and shows me all the results to select one (manually)

Multi-files torrent support by plugin URL

Possible problem with the version number.

I've been reported by some users that they have been returned to beta version after installed the version 0.9.1.
It seems that kodi believes that new version, 0.9.1, is lower version that version 0.9.1-beta. Just for string order. . I am wondering if it possible to jump to version 0.9.2. Or add a 0.9.1c. But, I think it is better idea just jump to the next number. At work, we use odd numbers for official release and even for internals.

Library not able to pull data from tvdb

Version 0.9.1 beta 2, for some tv shows the library is not able to pull data from tvdb. library folder is there but empty.
