random-topic-generator's Issues

For loop; repeated effort

At the end of the first loop, all your topics are already generated. So you should only loop once in the current implementation.

for(var i = 0; i < 6; i++){
$scope.top1 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
$scope.top2 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
$scope.top3 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
$scope.top4 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
$scope.top5 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
}

You could fix with something like this but it's a bit verbose. Only because your variables are what are hardcoded to the UI.
Let me know your thoughts

$scope.random = function(){
		for(var i = 0; i < 1; i++){
			console.log($scope.selected);
			switch($scope.selected){
			        case '1':
				        $scope.top1 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
			                break;
                                case '2':
				        $scope.top1 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
				        $scope.top2 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					break;
				case '3':
				        $scope.top1 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top2 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top3 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					break;
				case '4':
				        $scope.top1 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top2 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top3 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top4 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
                                       break;
				case '5':
				        $scope.top1 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top2 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top3 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
					$scope.top4 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
                                        $scope.top5 = $scope.subject[Math.floor(Math.random() * ($scope.len + 1))];
                                        break;
			}
		}
