re-did : Remove Promoted Posts on Reddit

A Chrome extension to remove promoted posts on Reddit.

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository.
    git clone https://github.com/sanidhyas3s/re-did
  2. Open Google Chrome and go to "Manage Extensions", chrome://extensions.
  3. Enable the "Developer mode" toggle in the top right corner.
  4. Click on "Load unpacked" and select the extension directory.
  5. That's it, enjoy your ad-free Reddit feed!

Follow similar steps on other browsers which support extensions like Microsoft Edge, Brave.

How It Works

  1. On initial page load, the extension identifies and removes any promoted posts.
  2. Whenever new posts are loaded, the extension checks for promoted posts again and removes them.
