cs-moveit's Issues

Remove selected items

Even though there is bulldozer mods, I think deleting selected items fits to this mod since it shows the selected items very nicely (compared to many bulldozing mods).

I've noticed that some do a huge collection of items in area outside, then copy & paste it elsewhere. There is one problem with this however, there is no easy way to remove the selected items.

Transport routes appearing when using Move It

For some reason transport routes (like bus routes and train routes) are being visualised whilst using Move It. While this is often useful, it makes detailing on roads very difficult because often the transport route will block visibility of the decal I'm moving.

Would it be possible to get an option to toggle whether routes are shown or not?

Note: I have >80 mods active so if this isn't something that happens for everyone lmk and I'll try and work out which external mod causes the issue.

[Feature] Flatten / Make same level tool

Hey, great mod!

Typically I use to move it to adjust the vertical heights on bridges and train lines when making new routes as by default the game makes them go up and down almost randomly

Would it be possible to add an option when selecting several nodes to move them to all be at the same vertical level?

Perhaps choosing to go to the lowest, the highest or an average of all the heights?

Soliciting advice

Hi. Sorry, I know this is not the correct place for this, but I haven't had much luck in the reddit community or the so-called API reference wiki, and I'd really like to make a mod for Cities: Skylines. I'm a professional developer, so I can handle myself, but I've spent hours tinkering with NetManager to no avail. I'd like to make new road segments procedurally. If you have any advice I'd hugely appreciate it. Do you have notes on the undocumented APIs that you could share? Sorry, again, and thanks for reading my request.

Cheers,

[Feature Request] Merging nodes

It would be nice if there could be a function that merges all selected nodes into one at the center of all selected nodes.

[Feature Request] Auto Roundabout Creation

Flabaliki suggested this idea - I second it.

Idea is, that you select a node of an intersection, imput some kind of distance number, and press a button in your mod, and that auto-transforms the intersection into a roundabout at the given distance number.

Possible?

Better contrast

Hi,
The green node circles have too little contrast in relation to the roads. Would it be possible to make them brighter and more saturated?

When moving buildings, snap option should snap to zone grid

When moving buildings, I can move them anywhere - which is nice, but for most cases I'd like to enable snap mode and have them align to zone grid to get them flush with and properly connected to roads.

It would work in much the same way as the native "move building" tool (found on building info panels) and be useful for ploppable RICO buildings that don't present that feature on the RICO building info panels.

Marquee select only items FindIt sees at the moment

I've noticed from several videos that people seem to be in pain when they try to delete e.g. decals which are usually below the stack. They end up deleting everything just to get the decals away.

One simple feature would be to filter the selected marquee items with currently found items FindIt finds.
E.g.

  1. Search for your favorite prop using FindIt.
  2. Tick MoveIt marquee tool checkbox [ ] Select only items FindIt has found (the new feature)
  3. Marquee select the items

Challenge is how to make the FindIt -> MoveIt to talk each other about the filtered props FindIt has found.

[Feature Request] Circular selection tool?

Similar to the zoning circular tool, sometimes I have items inside a roundabout I'd like to select, the square marquee tool will select those items, but also may select parts of the roundabout (for putting say a path or another roundabout inside a roundabout so filters don't work in that scenario). Is it possible to get a circular tool to "paint" an area of items to select in a similar way you can paint zones?

For example, if I wanted to select only the outer ring of my double roundabout here (if I wanted to move the outer ring up or down), I have to manually shift + click all the roundabout nodes, where it'd be nice to have a filtered "painter" tool you can set like the marquee tool, and then paint over the area you want.

I totally understand if this isn't possible due to limits in the game engine though.

Easier interaction with monorail nodes

When selecting monorail nodes, I often end up selecting the pillar rather than the node. It's something I'll get used to after a while, but would be nice if it was always the node that got selected rather than the pillar.

Don't move hydro dams.

When working on detail around a hydro dam, I've accidentally moved it twice, which leads to very strange effects not to mention a rather unwanted tsunami. When the dam is moved its component parts (many of which are invisible) seem to separate out so it can't simply be moved back (and Ctrl+Z doesn't work either).
