When choosing which apps to uninstall, you can see icons, tap the package, and be given information about what this package does.

When looking at which apps are already in the uninstalled state, this information is not available.

Is this something you would be able to implement?

I would like to suggest some improvements for the app:
-dark mode
-how much storage each application takes up
-which apps I deleted because it's sometimes hard to know by only package name. I mean for example com.android.bips

Describe the bug
If there is an already existing app which have the same name with an existing app, only one app will appear. This issue is present in both the installed app menu (left hand side on canta) and the uninstalled (right hand side on canta).

^as you can see in the above video I have 2 calculator app—but when I searched for it, only the new app shows up with the old app (system) not showing up. But after uninstalling new app, the old app can be observed again after an app restart. This issue also exist in the uninstalled menu, where if there is an uninstalled app with the same name as an installed app, after an app restart it'll disappear with no way of getting it back and only the installed one remain.

1. Install an app which have the same name with an already existing app (usually system app)

3. Find that only the new app is found when searched for (in the list too)

Hello ! So I have I have a Realme phone (see specs below) and when I uninstall 1 app, only Canta will restart, but when I uninstall a 2nd app, my whole phone will reboot

32 bits processor (installed arm7 apk)

I'd like to debloat my shitty Amazon fire tablet and my old Samsung galaxy s9 but this app only works with android 11 and up 💀

I disable most of the system apps instead of uninstalling and only uninstall some specific apps.
When an update comes its hard to tell what is new and what is not and its kinda annoying checking if I disabled the app or not.
Other than that I love the list and the decription of each app.
Keep up this amazing work and ty so much.

App works ok until I select "recommended" in the settings, than everything disappears and no apps show anymore . Uninstall and reinstall did not help.

This app acts as an Admin. Sometimes I try to do things in my phone and am "blocked by IT" OR "Blocked by Admin" I use canta to uninstall, go back 3 mins later and it's right back. Please figure a way to keep this deleted. To be told I can't do something on my phone becaus I'm block by so and so is INFURIATING!!! Thank you. This app is exactly what I needed. Thanks for making it.
I would like to suggest some improvements for the app, let me know what you think :

Interface

• Dark mode support (switch light/dark theme option)
• Browse the uninstalled apps the same way as the installed ones (Not only showing the package name but also app icon, labels and description. For better clarity.)
• Maybe Material UI implementation in the future ?

Other

• Localization support (setting up service like Chrowdin and give the growing community ability to contribute with translating the app)

I can't uninstall Samsung's Game Optimizing Service app on Canta, it always comes back right after uninstallation. Is it a known issue ? is there a workaround ?

I got a Samsung Galaxy S10 (SM-G973F) running Android 12 / OneUI 4.1

Show app by which use internet permission. If the app is not connected to internet there is no chance for tracking

So that we can use the application directly as an SU, without the need for Shizuku.

I don't know what recommended or unsafe means. Is recommended to keep or remove. It can be made clearer with more in app documentation.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my appreciation for your work on the Canta app, which I recently discovered on GitHub. It's an impressive tool that offers a great solution for managing apps without needing root access.

As an avid user of Android devices, I have a Samsung device running on Android Oreo (8.0/8.1), and I was excited about the possibility of using Canta. However, I noticed that the current version of Canta requires Android 9.0 or higher, which unfortunately leaves my device unsupported.

I understand that maintaining compatibility with older versions of Android can be challenging due to API changes and security considerations. Nevertheless, I believe that there is still a significant user base on Android Oreo who could greatly benefit from Canta's functionality.

Would it be possible to consider extending support to Android 8.0 and 8.1 devices? I am sure that many users, including myself, would be immensely grateful for such an update.

Do you think that perhaps they are hiding some system apps from Canta?

These apps were present/listed before in Android 13.
Something is going on, for now I will use aShell or Rish

Edit: I uninstalled it with Package Manager app (com.smartpack.packagemanager) which now works with Shizuku. After removing, it appears now in the uninstalled list in Canta.

Problem:
app is just showing "Loading apps...".
And it's just loading and loading.

I'm using a realme narzo 50 phone.
Os: android 11
Installed the Shizuku app.
Installed Canta app.
Configured both of them successfully.

I've triple checked everything.
Nothing wrong on my side....

I just don't want to delete every single app by using a CLI based app.
It's just painful.
Please fix this error.

I wanted to reinstall an app I accidentally uninstalled (com.samsung.android.incallui), but when I use the reinstall feature, it shows "reinstall complete" without reinstalling anything. Thinking it was a one-time thing, I decided to try and reinstall YouTube, but it didn't reinstall either.

In version 1.2 I downloaded canta and had fun with the recommendation feature in canta which makes it easy for me to delete things on my device realme
But when I updated 1.3 I lost this feature, even all the applications in Canta didn't display descriptions ? ^_^
So I now don't dare to delete anything because there is no guide about the app

But I read an issue on Canta, that there was someone who experienced random reboots, actually me too but after many recommended applications I deleted,Looks like it's happening with the weather app
Maybe in the future a new description will be provided in the realme application

Is it possible to add uninstall records sorted by date? as it can help in identifying uninstalled applications especially in case of uninstallation errors. Additionally, having the ability to import and export these records would enhance the utility of the application.

I try to uninstall all Google apps from my device and I already uninstall most of Google apps from my device but not able to uninstall Google Calendar because it is not showing in the list.

I've tried using Canta today. The concept is great, but it doesn't seem to work. I've activated Shizuku via wireless debugging, started Canta, granted it the Shizuku permission, selected an app (Google Assistant) and tried to delete it, bug nothing happened. This behaviour persisted after reboot. Canta can be seen in Shizuku under "authorized applications". The device is Realmi Pad Mini (RMP2105), Android 11, not rooted. Could you please take a look?

this app is used to remove app that bloating the device.
and tags show the level of app bloating and safe to removeness.

instead of user having to search the list for "recommended", it is better to add an option to show only a tag (like recommended).

this way user only sees those that are recommended to remove.

right now there is options to hide them (which have its uses for some) that is not really useful for this app usage.

Hi, the opening of the app is not always easy, it opens only if i open the app and then run shizuku with the app being open.
Is there a way this can be made more easy to do?

I tried to connect my phone to my computer to get log etc but seems I can't,
Because I am stuck in the loop as described above (after I connect my phone to PC via cable - no popup window for selecting).

I'm suffering from the "Loading apps" screen. I'm not super techy, so I don't know how to post in that thread. I have Galaxy Note 10+ Android 12. Shizuku is up to date, Canta has been up to date.

I don't know how to save logs though. I'm sorry. I've tried downloading a Log Cat app or something and I really don't understand it.

1. When I touch the search bar and select some apps to freeze, I notice the red garbage can is hidden.
2. It'd be even more helpful if there were a number counting the selected apps.

The app doesn't support SUI but only Shizuku. I tried to enable permission from Sui yet it doesn't work. SUI literally does the same thing as Shizuku but for rooted device and is much easier to use. This should be implemented imo. I know the app is targeting non rooted devices but rooted ones should be able to use it this way as well.
