One-minute video showing servers and updates: YouTube
Mental health form my team and I created after being inspired by the video: Google Forms
Blog post that my team and I collaborated on analyzing the form's results: Alex's Blog

I believe that I earned a 3/3 this week because I created a detailed and concise video showing both of my servers running concurrently as well as live changes on both of them. I also showed the git pushing process, my previous commits, and the GitHub actions + the permanent change on my actual site. I also talked about how my group and I collaborated to create a survey to guage mental health at DNHS. The blog post above wraps up our thoughts on the shocking statistics we found.

AppLab - Created a basketball and tennis quiz
Performance Task - Planned out a project that would use the Spotify API
Scrum Board - Created a GitHub project to track the progress on my performance task

My partner and I created a working quiz with lots of extra features including percentage, procedural abstraction, and multi-quiz selection. My performance task includes lots of images, code snippets, and links. Finally, I created a SCRUM board with my plans for the Creative Performance Task. I believe I deserve a 3.0/3.0.

W5 Review Ticket

I believe that I deserve a 3.0/3.0 this week because...

  • Python project: I used Bootstrap to create an input form and carousel with images and used JavaScript to alert the user with their name. I also personalized my stub page to include an iFrame of a Google Form containing responses to the survey we created last week along with some additional commentary
  • Fastpages project: I used SCSS/JavaScript to create a page that displays my top 4 GitHub projects using the GitHub GraphQL API. I created a blog post with the source code for this and a notebook that creates an HTML table programmatically with the same data in the same fashion did in class
  • Team project: We met from 6-10PM at my crib and brainstormed on my iPad continuously for hours. After we finished brainstorming, we created a Google Drawing with what we envision our final project to look like. We described what the SCRUM roles would do in an infographic along with our individual responsibilities.

Challenges

One challenge I overcame this week was the typo I made when writing my dataset manipulation code. I was able to adjust the following code segment to properly select rows in my DataFrame where the red, green, and blue pixels were all the same.
image
My teammate, Liav, suggested that I try comparing the three rows in two separate boolean expressions rather than simply a == b == c, since he hadn't recognized that syntax before. Thanks to his help, I was able to properly execute my code!
