I am very new to the WikDump. Can you please share the information about the format of the Wiki dump data. As I got till now, 2nd column is wiki page Id and entity name. What the 1st column represent?

It says all in the title :)
Sample dump name: enwikivoyage-20130330-pages-articles.xml

Hey this code looks perfect for a research project I'm working on. I downloaded the code through canopy and now I'm just trying to figure out how this code works. Do you have any documentation or file to start reading to understand better?
