I don't meant the general resizing functionality doesn't work, but it doesn't get resized to a lower size. Try resizing it vertically, for example, by lowering its height.

I tested with Pin It! 1.4.1 which is available from Flathub but it resizes as expected:

But my display size is larger than yours―fortunately I have a laptop with 1366 x 768 display, I'll check the behavior with that laptop.
