How to...

...add custom commands

# register a command called 'echo' that executes a callable
Console.register('echo',
	func(text: String):
		Console.println('%s... %s...' % [text, text.to_lower()]
).arg('text', TYPE_STRING)\ # add an argument to this command
	.info('echo a string of text in a creepy way...')

The \ at the end of arg allows for us to continue calling functions on a new line.

The echo command is called like so:

$ echo Testing123
$ echo '...Or if you\'re wanting to have spaces.'

Sorry for the strange sentence. I wanted to demonstrate how to escape 's.

...change the key to toggle the console

Open the cheatsheet.tscn in res://addons/cheatsheet/ and edit the toggle_shortcut property to whatever you want.

Game cannot quit with cheatsheet installed.

The game does not quit when the plugin is installed.

The quit command, altf4, get_tree().quit(), and close buttons do not work, they all crash the game.

OS.crash does work

Closing the game from the editor does work.

No errors pop up and no performance issues happen.

Console UI blocks all mouse input

Adding this to my project made my main menu unusable. No Mouse Input is allowed to pass through.
I tried fixing this by setting the mouse_filter of all nodes that cover more than the console itself in cheatsheet.tscn to ignore, but that didn't work.
Disabling the plugin makes the menu work again.

how can the console input be changed?

certain keyboard layouts simply dont have that key, as an example im using a portuguese keyboard, which means to use the input i need to press shift as a modifier, making the input not recognizable by godot, is there any way i can change the key input to open the console? thank you
