The project is designed to implement a Web API to facilitate a scenario where the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) helps the public to work outside the country but also provides the companies to find appropriate workers, monitor the wellbeing of the foreign employees, and handle family complains. This system is designed to fit the standard architectures and industry-standard interfaces etc. All the below-mentioned functionalities are covered in this project and the group members have developed a full-functioning system using several Web APIs. In this system, any citizen can become a member through free online registration and seek jobs. They should upload their birth certificates, CVs, and copies of their passports through the system. Citizens can update their qualifications when necessary. The bureau officers see and validate information provided by the job seekers. Registered Foreign companies review job seekers based on their qualifications. The citizens who got job offers and have gone for foreign employment should update their current location as soon as they visit the foreign company. Any citizen can make a complaint and the bureau officers should be able to see the content and reply accordingly.

Although the smart parking system is not a new concept for Sri Lankans, the idea of booking parking slots in advance and then parking is a novice theme for our country. So, we decided to see that novice theme as a new opportunity and used this concept for our project module, As the first phase of the project, we agreed to design a remote reservation parking system for a public parking area. We designed an online parking reservation mobile application system that shows the available free parking slots to the users where the users can reserve a parking slot for any time they want.

Web application for the department of agriculture (DoA) of Sri Lanka along with Keels to develop a market for farmers, where the farmers can feed their harvest and Keels staff can buy them. we have developed the web application allowing the farmers to create accounts for free and register using their national identity card number. Then they can login and upload their harvest along with photos and details of the harvest. Registered farmers can input data – including images, delete and update his/her own reports. Keels and DoA staff can view all the details, validate by looking at the uploaded photos and take necessary actions. They can also evaluate the evidence and approve farmer’s reports and send requests to the reported locations shown on a map. Keels staff can communicate by sending direct messages to farmers and buy farmer’s products. DoA is able to see the statistics such as percentages of fruits, vegetables, successful transactions, and wasted harvests via the web dashboard. Also, the general public is able to see the reports of the farmer’s including their location on a map and the public is also eligible to view limited number of statistical details.

With the rapid development of technology mobile phones have become a need of the human beings. These days, literally we do everything with the aid of the mobile applications (2). So, we decided to create a mobile app named “Where2go”, ensuring the need of the travelling activities of the users and giving them a different experience. In this application we give the users the suggestions to various places in sri Lanka and we also give them an option to customize their own favourite places and add them to their own “To Go List”. In the mobile application we designed, we are encouraging the people to use this app to find the places they want to go when they feel like travelling. We give 2 options to the users; they either can design and make their own trips and add it to their “to-go-list”, or else they can go along with the ready-made audience targeted packages. In these packages we let them decide according to their requirements. As an example, we let the users to decide whether this trip is for couples, families or friends etc., and according to their requirement we have made special packages to enjoy their journey. Also, for the foreigners we have made where to go packages including Sri Lankas beautiful iconic heritages. In this mobile application, we provide different destination categories such as Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs, Heritages, Beaches, Parks, Museums etc. In each destination, we provide details about the Location, Photos, Rating of the place and Significancy, Opening and Closing hours, Contact numbers, Address and access to their corresponding webpage. We provide access to users through account registration. Details and activity of Registered users are stored in the where2go database so they can have a user-friendly experience each time they use the app.
