In the case of p256::Scalar::sqrt, the failure is computing sqrt(4). In that particular case, instead of computing 2 it computes -2, as the order of P-256 is 0xFFFFFFFF00000000FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFBCE6FAADA7179E84F3B9CAC2FC632551.
This passes the original tests, which only check that sqrt() -> square() round trips back to the original value.
