How to use this library with Java?

I try to implement library in my project with Java and I faced a problem:

What to write in parentheses mRatingView.setRatingChangeListener(); ? I can't text just a parameters previousRating and newRating like in Kotlin:

ratingView.setRatingChangeListener { previousRating, newRating ->
            emotionView.setRating(previousRating, newRating)
            gradientBackgroundView.changeBackground(previousRating, newRating)
        }

How to use GradientBackgroundView in CardView?

Hi,

It looks great. I want to use GradientBackgroundView in CardView. Can you show how to achieve that? I have tried following:

But it does not work.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v7.widget.CardView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="160dp">

    <com.dm.emotionrating.library.GradientBackgroundView
        android:id="@+id/gradientBackgroundView"
        android:layout_width="0dp"
        android:layout_height="0dp"
        app:layout_constraintBottom_toBottomOf="parent"
        app:layout_constraintEnd_toEndOf="parent"
        app:layout_constraintStart_toStartOf="parent"
        app:layout_constraintTop_toTopOf="parent" />

    <LinearLayout
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="match_parent"
        android:orientation="vertical"
        android:paddingLeft="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin"
        android:paddingTop="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin"
        android:paddingRight="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin"
        android:paddingBottom="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin">

        <TextView
            android:id="@+id/group_name_tv"
            style="@style/TextAppearance.AppCompat.Headline"
            android:layout_width="match_parent"
            android:layout_height="match_parent"
            android:gravity="center"
            tools:text="Group A" />
    </LinearLayout>
</android.support.v7.widget.CardView>
