nivo's Issues

Can't mass-assign protected attributes: url, active, image

I'm trying to install the gem and the info is a bit old on github, it seems the gem hasn't been updated for a while. The migration file it generates is:

class CreateNivoTables < ActiveRecord::Migration
def self.up
create_table :slides, :force => true do |t|
t.string :caption
t.string :url
t.boolean :active
t.integer :position
t.integer :width
t.integer :height
t.string :image_file_name
t.string :image_content_type
t.integer :image_file_size
t.datetime :image_updated_at
t.timestamps
end

CmsMenuItem.create({:title =>"Slides", :controller_name => "nivo/slides", :url => "/nivo/slides"})

end

def self.down
drop_table :slides
item = CmsMenuItem.find_by_title("Slides")
item.destroy
end
end

Being new to Ror, I'm not sure what the create function does but rake db:migrate doesn't want anything to do with it. I tried deleting them and just go ahead but I get this error when trying to upload an image to the slider via paperclip:

Can't mass-assign protected attributes: url, active, image

Rails.root: c:/RailsInstaller/apps/rails3-bootstrap-devise-cancan
Application Trace | Framework Trace | Full Trace

app/controllers/nivo/slides_controller.rb:24:in new' app/controllers/nivo/slides_controller.rb:24:increate'

I've added this:

class Nivo < ActiveRecord::Base
attr_accessible :url, :active, :image, :caption, :position, :width, :height

end

but it doesn't change anything! Help ?!

controller

module Nivo
class SlidesController < ApplicationController

if defined?(Dust::Application)
  filter_access_to :all
  layout 'cms'
end

unloadable

def index
  @slides = Nivo::Slide.paginate_all(params[:search])
end

def show
  @slide = Nivo::Slide.find(params[:id])
end

def new
  @slide = Nivo::Slide.new
end

def create
  @slide = Nivo::Slide.new(params[:nivo_slide])
  if @slide.save
    flash[:notice] = "Successfully created slide."
    redirect_to @slide
  else
    render :action => 'new'
  end
end
