An application to audit the security of WLAN Access points. The application tries to guess the access point default password via a public know algorithm. This app is NOT MEANT to be used as a hacking utility, so I'm not responsible of the usage you make of it.

wlan-audit's Issues

LibAdMob.a

Good Day Roberto,

I was trying to compile your program with Xcode 3.2.2 I am missing the LibAdMob.a and the one from the AdMOb web site is totally different. Can you post the required library please.

Patrice

Not working from XCode, despite signed

Dear Roberto (if you prefer Spanish, just let me know, but maybe this can be useful for other users).

First of all, thank you for sharing the source code of the APP!!! Great and very useful for both users and coders.

I am trying to build the WLANAudit application from XCode. Everything seems to works fine after renaming key.h.

However, when I build the .ipa (or execute directly from XCode with the iPhone connected) the list of WiFis does not appear. It just shows nothing (an empty list).
From the Cydia application (1.3.3-1) it works perfectly, but not from XCode built by myself (yours fine, mine not :( ). (similar problem to this issue #8)

Looking the console log from the mobile, it seems to be working, this is shown:
Sep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh WLANAudit[733] : Scanning...
Sep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh WLANAudit[733] : Scan Finished...

However, a deeper look throws me this information:
ep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh WLANAudit[733] : Scanning...
Sep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh sandboxd[779] : MS:Notice: Installing: (null) sandboxd
Sep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh sandboxd[779] : MS:Notice: Loading: /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/IAPFreeService.dylib
Sep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh WLANAudit[733] : Scan Finished...
Sep 10 13:30:37 smaawuuhkh-kh-kh-kh-amartykh-kh sandboxd[779] : WLANAudit(733) deny system-socket

It seems there is a problem with the sandbox. According to this issue (#8) you say something about fake-signing. Is this the real problem? Can't I just use real signing? Or is it something different?

Could you give me further information regarding this issue? How can I solve it?

Best regards,
Alberto.

App working over Cydia - Empty Array when building from Xcode

Hi,

when I'm loading the app over the cydia store on an jailbroken iPhone with iOS 5 the app works and displays the various networks.
However, when I'm building the app myself from Xcode I don't get any wifi signals (I guess there are permissions missing to read the wifi signals)...

If I copy the app directly into the /Applications folder and assign all rights, the app doesnt start. The splash-screen is shortly displayed but then returns to the springboard.

Am I missing a step when I'm compiling the app myself?

Thank you for your help

Phil

App preferences not showing in Settings.app

If used through Cydia, the app does not appear listed in Settings.app so the user could configure the app settings. This was unforeseen and is to be fixed in 1.2.1 point release.

Two digit WLAN networks (WLAN_XX)

Many WLAN (in fact most) networks only have two digits (WLAN_XX). The old version (1.0) was able to find the keys to these networks perfectly, but the new one never can. Is there any way you can post a legacy version of the compiled code or fix the issue?

Problems with new version

Hello,

I updated to v.1.3 from Cydia, and no longer runs the application, it opens, I get the boot image and closes the application

I have a 3GS iPhone with iOS 4.2.1

Hola,

he actualizado la version a la 1.3 desde Cydia, y me ha dejado de funcionar la aplicación, la abro, me sale la imagen de inicio y se cierra la aplicación

Tengo un iPhone 3GS con versión 4.2.1

iOS 5 beta 4

WLAN-Audit downloaded from Cydia doesn't work with iOS beta 4.
Can I provide some more info?

iOS 5

When Wlan Audit will be compatible with iOS 5? Thanks! :)
