no longer any indication when user has exceeded number of visible bookmarks, on mac at least.

If restoring a session with multiple browser windows in it, some windows may not be deiconized.

windows has no drop markers on folders in the bookmarks toolbar. Impossible to differentiate folders from regular bookmarks.

activating the "star panel" in the location bar causes icons to be un-deiconized.

In Firefox, you can move your bookmarks out of the bookmarks bar itself and into the main toolbar by dragging "Bookmarks toolbar items" when in the customise toolbar dialog is shown. If you only have a couple of bookmarks, or folders, as I do, this is a great way to reclaim some screen real estate.

If you move the Bookmarks toolbar items outside of the bookmarks toolbar in this manner, the icons are not hidden.

It looks like the addon is setting the styling on the bookmarks toolbar as a whole as opposed to the Bookmarks toolbar items area. You can see this by dragging other buttons onto the bookmarks toolbar when in customise mode---they lose their icon and become text only on that toolbar.

Well, the icons are back. :)
