after calling pat2dists st_drivers() returns a data.frame with 0 rows. st_write not possible anymore.

currently pat2dists insists to read the geodata from external files. It would be nice if the function would accept geometries already available in R. such as sf objects.

Just a note, see you working on wkb and wonder if you don't know about wk package?

at the moment only a very weird error message which does not point in the right direction Fehler in rand_dists_ratios(pattern[1], area[1], max_dist, as.integer(n_sim), : Length of buffer <= 0.

It is no longer necessary to use these in configure scripts, and 'R CMD config CPP' has been deprecated. R does not set CPP so R CMD config CPP is either "$CC -E" or empty, depending on the 'make' program. And autoconf will call AC_PROG_CPP to determine CPP if it needs it.

The only use by a configure.ac script I noticed was in nloptr, which passes it down. If needed, set CPP="${CC} -E".

Please change at the next package update.
