This package follows standard GNU compilation and installation
conventions.  Briefly, run the shell commands

    ./configure && make && make check && make install

to configure, build, test, and install the package.  If you are
compiling from the git sources, run

    autoreconf -i

in the source directory before running `configure'.  See the file
INSTALL for more-detailed instructions.

Dependencies:
- running: Python interpreter
- building: g++, gcc, binutils, make, Python headers
- building from git: autotools, libtool, gettext
