- At the root folder, create a .env file with the following content
REACT_APP_GPT_API = <OpenAI_API_KEY>
Since keys can't be uploaded on public repos, you will have to create your own API key from OpenAI.
Get chatGPT API key - https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys
- Run the following command
npm install

Go to chrome://extensions

Enable "Developer mode"

In the Developer options, click on "Load unpacked"

Select the folder where manifest.json file is present.
Note: You might need to reload extension after entering the API key to get it working.
Once installed, the user can activate the extension by right-clicking on input text and selecting the "Conway:" keyword. The extension will then accept any request and provide relevant assistance based on the input.
- ENABLING THE EXTENSION FOR ALL WEBSITES : As of now, it is fully working with few websites like Calmly , Gmail , Linekdin , Medium but we will soon get it working for every website.
- ACTIVATION WITH KEYWORD: Adding feature of activating the extension with "conway" keyword.
- COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER BROWSERS : Making the Conway extension work in other browsers like Edge.
- SPEECH INPUT : Providing with speech input for enhanced user experience.
- CONWAY FOR APPS : Providing the AI helper in the apps.
