MarsWeatherApp

Prepare yourself for your future trip to Mars by checking the current weather there!

Details

A web app that displays the current and previous weather history on Mars using NASA’s InSight Mars lander API.

I used this as practice for learning how to extract data from an external API and display this data on a live (local) webserver.

Learning Objectives:

JavaScript:

  • External API use
  • Promises ( fetch() )
  • JSON
  • Destructuring/Spread operator
  • DOM Manipulation
  • Event Listeners

GitHub:

  • creating/merging branches

CSS:

  • Custom CSS properties (variables)
  • Pseudo Classes (:hover)
  • Flexbox & Grid positioning models
  • Sass
