Update embedded Eclipse to 4.4 to allow for Java 8 sources. about formatter-maven-plugin HOT 6 CLOSED

How soon might we see this?  Because eclipse has fixed some things like no 
longer adding trailing spaces in javadocs, we are not running into a situation 
where eclipse source cleanup fixes trailing spaces then running our maven build 
causes them to come back.  Having this plugin on 4.4 would resolve that and 
something we are really after to clear check style issues regarding this.

#1 It appears that the project might benefit from contributions.  Perhaps you 
have the time to have a look?

Java 8 support is available on my fork now.  Simply fork it and build it.  I'm 
not currently using some of the newer features of java 8 so anyone that can 
test and verify that portion works before I push that out.

I had made a comment about trailing spaces here in javadocs.  Turns out eclipse 
did not fix that in formatting but rather source cleanup.  So that piece is not 
fixed at this time and technically was noted on another issue anyways.
