In your device you should use the Type 2B, as it has booted to the setup.
By the description you gave, it sounds like the problem is in your SD card.
So it's advised to try with another one before you try to do anything else in your device.

I tried with other SD card and it was still stuck on boot logo. Then i took out the external SD card... Boom! Boots and working. Used old SD, works perfect.
It was the other SD that was doing something to first boot.
