ldr
files contain the file name of the dat
file for each part the model contains. Unfortunately that filename could come from a windows installation and create the extension .DAT
in uppercase while on linux the parts come with the extension .dat
in lower case. In that case lic will fail to find the right part files. Instead, lic should fallback to also check for the lowercase versions of the filenames in a ldr
file.
Thanks!
Hi Remi,
Just trying out the 'Issues' section here. If it works it might be a better
place to add suggestions? Keeping track of emails can be a pain.
Tim
1) It seems difficult or impossible to type the path to LDraw.
Optimally (as a CLI user) you should be able to type or use the GUI to
find it. Not a high priority change but worth investigating if you're
bored.
2) You should be able to drag and drop an MPD or LIC file to an open
LIC and have it be the same as Import or Load depending on file type.
3) With the annotation layer it would be nice to be able to put it in
front or behind.
4) "Move to Next Page" should probably read "Combine with Next Page".
You're not actually moving it to the next page so much as moving the
next page onto it.
4a) It should also return you to the current page rather than the previous
page.
5) It should be easy to set the PLI of a multi-step page to contain
all parts for the page.
6) If there is a way to globally adjust PLIs it should be made more
obvious and also available for access by right-clicking on the 'PLI'
section of the left-hand menu. If there is not one there should be.
7) Rotating a submodle image doesn't make the border resize and move itself.
8) Callouts should probably default to a filled border-shape and
appear as a top layer. You may want to mask some of the main step.

Could you consider using one of the standard Python packaging mechanisms for
shipping lic? Either distutils or setuptools would make cross platform
development easier.
Would you otherwise accept a patch which implements a distutils based solution?

Is there a way to add multi-page callouts?
If not, I'd like to request that feature.
Thanks!
Hi,
lic is looking for the directories PARTS
and P
to identify the ldraw directory. Unfortunately, under Linux, paths are case sensitive (in contrast to Windows) and the directories are called parts
and p
. So could you please either check for the lower case variants only or check both variants?
Thanks!
Can this run on Linux? If so, how?
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of lic for Mac OS X
2. Attempt to launch application
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Naturally I expect the program to open and start generating building
instructions for me. :) Instead it just bounces in the dock a few times and
crashes without opening any windows.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm trying to use lic version 0.6.0 on Mac OS X 10.7.2.
Please provide any additional information below.
I also tried lic on a computer running Mac OS X 10.6, and it seemed to work
fine.

Trying to run the 3.1.222 exe from the /dist folder.
Windows 10.
I get a dialog box that says
"Fatal error"
"Failed to execute script Lic"
Am I missing something?
Arrows made with "Displace With Arrow | Move Up", disappear when changing the
Template's Default CSI Rotation (from 45 to 135).
Changing the arrow's rotation to 90, makes it reappear.

1. Import a model: File | Import Model
2. Items appear misplaced but are okay after a View | Zoom 100%
