Hi Reines,

RxTx loader is compiled with JDK 7, and target this same platform level. Despite the end of support for Java 6, there is still a huge user base stucked with this version, or 1.5 at worst.

My proposals:

• provide a 1.5 version (since this code doesn't use any 1.6 features) OR/AND;
• use Java 7 nio to drop Commons IO dependency.

For this last point,
Commons IO

FileUtils.copyInputStreamToFile(source, target);

Java 7

Files.copy(source, target);

(where source and target become Paths)

I can provide PR for both choice.
